May 19, 201511 yr There is something like path dependency. Descisions taken in the past have influence on nowadays, and cannot be easily retracted, atleast not as easy as when the descision was actually made. Maybe it is not smart (business point of view) anymore to spend a lot of money in the championships, but if you already done that for ages its difficult to stop. See it like a motorcycle fair, if you have been there for 20 years with your shop and suddenly you stop with it, what sound does that give. But maybe if you could have the descission from the start (for a new company) you would not go there... Same thing happens with choises about e.g. reliability vs competitiveness (if it would be one or the other). Once the descission is made all work will point in one direction, making it more difficult to go back to the other choise after a couple of years. (think about why the QWERTY keyboard is still there?) Edited May 19, 201511 yr by crazybond700

June 13, 201511 yr What choice has he got? At least unlike Raga the "factory" is still there and not in the receivers hands?
