Sherco 03 125 Suspension Setup

Featured Replies

hi

i have a sherco 2003 125 and wondered how you setup the suspension for a 8 and a half stone youth rider?

what setup do you have for jumping the bike around(bunny hop etc)

thanks james :blink:

Difficult this as the rear shock is not adjustable, it may be possible to get a weaker spring? Set the sag at about 65 to 95 depending on what feels best and change the oil in the front for a lighter weight, apart from that get a custom shock made if you intend staying on Sherco for a couple of years.

ok,

thanks for that, what oil would you recommend?

thanks james :blink::wall:

We put the lighter spring on my Daughters 125 as well as Ben's 125, then I swithced the front end oil to 2.5 on Christina's to keep everything as "balanced" as possible. Considered going to the fully adjustable shock, but the current set up really works pretty well so have just left it alone.

Of course the weekend after I set the suspension up for my daughter from how Ishy had it, I ended up riding the bike, and I may be just a "tad" bit heavier than she is......
