Wiring Questions Sy 250

Featured Replies

Hi all while my bike is apart I was trying to tidy up the wiring as I don't run the lights etc. it's a 202 sy250

just wanting to know what the boxes are and if I need them

I assume the black box is the CDI need that!

The round one attached to the sub frame a capacitor do I still need it to run the fan?

What does the silver box do? Do I need it?

I'm guessing there are three boxes, a CDI, a rectifier and a voltage regulator, you'll need all three

Ok just took the bike out and it all seems to work fine with out the round thing ( capacitor I asume)

Other than the smoky ness that I feel is from a bad crank seal. My rear brake failed on the last ride home and I had to ride out using engine compression as a rear brake, I feel that this excessive engine braking may have compromised the crank seal.

For what its worth a friend who owns 2 scorpa's called & ask me to add that the round thing

needs to be there in order for the fan to cycle, hope this helps.
