Sherco don't give out info like that about their bikes. I'm only guessing here but I doubt there would have be any real difference in peak power between a 2001 & 2005 125 sherco, on the other hand a well used 4 year old bike will probably be quite a bit down on power compared to a new bike.

If you want lots of power put a 125 motocross/road race engine in your bike and watch your results plummet as you'll spin when on the power band and stall it when you're not on the power.

What you really want is torque at low rpm's and a nice smooth power delivery, sherco have improve the 290 in this area for 2005 and presumably they have made similar improvements to the 125 but I can't really say as I haven't ridden them both.
