August 21, 201511 yr Hi I'm looking to change the oil on my fantic (fm450) 212 cc engine. How would I go about this and what oil should I use? Many thanks for any info!
August 22, 201511 yr Warm it up, then drop the sump plug through the given hole in the bash plate. Everyone has their favourites with oil but I use ATF. Works great and is cheap to change regularly

August 22, 201511 yr I like 5W30 fully synthetic motor oil in all my Fantics but as mentioned everyone has their own favorite and seems most light oil or ATF works fine. Just don't use an EP hypoid gear oil.
August 26, 201511 yr Just to add to the debate; I find the gearbox gets quite notchy when hot if using ATF, my favourite is Putoline light gear oil.

August 29, 201510 yr i've been using redline gear with great results . no drag , no slip ,smooth engagement , slick shifting....
