315 Plastics

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just purchased a 2002 315r. I haven't taken it out as yet but was just thinking can you still buy plastics for them? Had a quick look on the Internet and most shops say there discontinued?

Also on another topic is elf the best gear oil to use? If so what is the interval between oil changes? I don't ride like a motor cross rider and I am only a novice, I used to use Gp10 in my beta and changed every 3-5 rides out but read the old girls only like elf?

Thanks in advance Adam

Front mudguards are the same as 4rt

Rear mudguards should be available - try a Montesa dealer

I used to use the Elf 740 in mine as Honda recommend

I have seen pictures of people trimming 4rt rear mudguards to fit. H & D racing have a picture of a couple they have done for a customer on Facebook.

Looks really good. They also still have a couple of front mudguards left also.

both very difficult to get hold of 4rt slightly different i think, no stickers at all.

Front same a part from holes. 4rt mudguard and brace would go straight on.

Had 315 on the front of the 4rt for years

Good luck

Thanks for replies I have been looking but can't find any rears, I assumed you could still buy them, if you can use 4rt rears that would be good but knowing how would be nice. I am looking at buying a newer bike now and keeping the old 315r for a spare or project bike

4rt rears are different arent they jimmy?

yep -possibly cut down though as 315 tank is longer
