October 21, 201510 yr Currently use MX boots when riding my sherco 300, are trials boots that much different? worth getting a pair?
October 21, 201510 yr Shorter length, more flexible, grip on soles I have both types of boots and would never consider MX/Enduro boots on a trials bike
October 21, 201510 yr My son left trials and went back to mx but couldnt go back to mx boots andstill uses his alpinestars so much comfier
October 21, 201510 yr Get proper trials boots, motox boots are too heavy, soles are designed to slide on the surface, you want the opposite when you dab, they're not flexible enough and don't allow you the necessary feel. When you get a pair you'll realise
October 21, 201510 yr Trials boots rule. Absolutely way better than MX boots. Better feel on the pegs, way less stiff, way more comfortable. Get em!
October 21, 201510 yr Hi, yep all of the above plus I find the same applies to proper trials specific pants and gloves. Guys that have worn m/c helmets at the start soon find trials helmets are the go. Cheers Taff
October 22, 201510 yr My son left trials and went back to mx but couldnt go back to mx boots andstill uses his alpinestars so much comfier I strongly recommend your son uses MX boots for MX. Trials boots have far too much grip and will cause severe knee injury sooner or later and accelerated knee wear in the meantime.
October 23, 201510 yr I strongly recommend your son uses MX boots for MX. Trials boots have far too much grip and will cause severe knee injury sooner or later and accelerated knee wear in the meantime. Well stated! I totally agree.
October 23, 201510 yr Extra grip aside, MX boots have tons more protection than trials boots. You'd never catch me on the enduro bike with trials boots. I'd have broken toes and feet more times than I care to remember.
June 14, 20197 yr Old Topic i know, but still relevant, I bet if you put any top trials rider of your choice in a pair of MX Boots and most of us on here in the best Trials boots money can buy we would still get hammered. My two penath.
