Up And Over Trials Gear - Anybody Tried ?

Featured Replies

I see this is a new company making trials gear. Looks a little more relaxed than what is on the market now. Looks nice - has anyone tried it out?  Located at [ upandovertrials .com]

I just learned about them about a month ago and am almost due for a new set of gloves.  I am going to order a set from them to see how well I like them, will report back once I get them.

Just sent them an email concerning amount of room available for a knee brace.

but anybody here able to answer if a large (ish) metal knee brace would fit comfortably?

You're probably going to need to go with motocross pants of you want to fit a big brace and still be able to bend. Took me a while to find something, eventually ended up with Klim.

Thanks for that.

currently I have some over the boot motocross pants that the legs zip off to make them shorts.

I just ride in shorts..........

I bought some. Fit great with lots of stretch. Don't think the knee brace will fit.

The pants on their site look a bit tight to fit braces. MX pants are your best bet. I wear Asterisk braces on dirt bikes and just knee/shin guards for trials. Both fit under regular Acerbis, Oneal and Fox mx pants fine and never felt movement was restricted. I mostly just wear my snowboarding shorts when riding trials now; they look like regular board shorts and have a bunch of padding in them.

Just got a set of there gloves in the mail today.  Nice, already like the way they feel.  My only complaint is that the portion of scratchy Velcro is a little to large in comparison to the soft Velcro and there choice of placement to have the scratchy side pointing out toward the sleeves  isn't optimal.

The rest of the glove features are great, I love the feel of the leather, their size chart was dead on for my hand to glove size, the fabric feels nice, the stitching is done well, the over all comfort is great.  I give it an 8 out of 10.  (would have a 9 out of ten if it wasn't for there Velcro)

My preference is a close fit on the fingers and palm, where this glove is good but a bit loose, this is nit picking as most people I know don't want the closer fit so for them to get a full 10 from me they would have needed to have a slightly thinner fit. (I think most people would like the current fit over my preference)

Opened the gear on my birthday and checked it out. Gloves have the nicest palm leather I have seen.Fingers are slightly short but stretching to fit. I have very long fingers. Jersey fits well and the material feels very nice. Pants fit well and the kneepads are nice. Have never worn actual trials gear but the stuff feels very nice and looks to be very well made and much less bulky than regular off road gear. I don't think this will help my atrocious riding skill but I will for sure will look studly walking around the pits.

With how nice the gloves are it isn't surprising the rest of the gear is made as nice as it is.  Thanks for the feed back!

Went one size larger on the gloves [xl to xxl] and they fit much better in the fingers.

Mark at Up and Over has been great to deal with.  I normally wear a 3x in Klim for comparison.
