Mapping Switch

Featured Replies

Hi all, picked Up a new Mont today :) I'm not a fan of switches on the handlebars so was wondering (if anybody knows that is..) if I select the map I prefer then unplug the switch from the loom would that work? Thanks in advance

Normally you would pick the map you like then check if the switch is shorted or open circuit using a multimeter.  Then simply disconnect and remove the switch.  If your preferred position is with the switch in the open circuit condition then just leave the wires on the wiring loom disconnected.  If your preference is with the switch closed (shorted) then you will need to connect the two wires in the wiring loom together.

aussiechris has it correct.  Its all about what position you like the switch in and keeping the wires connected or not depending on the open/close state of the switch when in the position you like riding.   :icon_salut:

Thanks for that, I'll have a look later to see what type of connector is being used and how many wires :-/
