My 8 year-old son enjoys trials events on his 36v 20" Oset but also has the desire to "go fast". So, is like to get more speed out of his bike. I know that larger rear sprockets are available but have not found smaller sprockets.

Also looking for 20" street tires. Any advice or leads are appreciated.

I think you want bigger front sprocket not smaller

Smaller rear sprocket also raises the gearing so you are correct.

Try Talon, if not made already they will make one for you, just need to supply the mounting details.
