June 7, 20197 yr I hadn't even considered petrol type for my Beta Evo! I think I've just always used regular unleaded (95), should I be using super (97)?
June 7, 20197 yr Depends on engine size, the 250 is very low compression and doesn't need super, in compression order it's 250, 300, 200, 125.

June 7, 20197 yr Super costs about 15p per litre more. And you use 1.5 to 2 litres in a trial. I just throw in the Super to play safe even though it’s probably not needed.
June 8, 20197 yr Any difference will in health or running will be immeasurable on the 250, it's compression is seriously low. It's a case of use super if you fell better for doing it, don't if you don't. I would use super on a 125 or 200, I'd try both in a 300.
