January 25, 20206 yr Can I fit a counter balance weight from a 349 onto a 248 Crankshaft. The 248 has a part no 5160 171 02, whilst the 349 part no is 5160 171 03 Failing the conversion can anybody suggest where I can obtain a new or second hand 248 counter balance weight. Thank you.
January 27, 20206 yr I think the 248 and 349 engines are the same apart from the bore so you should be able to fit it. As an aside I turned down the counterweight on my 348 a bit to put less stress on the crank and get a better engine response.
