February 7, 20206 yr I went to change my gearbox oil and noticed I’d bought dexron2 atf mineral, Is there a difference between dexron2 or dexron2 mineral or is it all mineral oil. I’m just wary it knackers the seals. Many thanks in advance folks
February 7, 20206 yr If using ATF I'd say much safer using Dexron III as it is higher grade. Never seen anyone using Dexron II
February 7, 20206 yr Not worth the risk,get the right stuff.Might be ok,if it's not you still need to buy the right oil,and repair the damage
February 8, 20206 yr I use dexron II in my txt pro I'm sure there's issues with the clutch and synthetic oil on the Gasgas, the clutch pack swells

February 9, 20206 yr I use type F in mine(2015 300 pro)and never had a problem.I should see what the difference is in these oils I guess.
February 9, 20206 yr Gasgas put out a technical bulletin some years ago recommending ATF..I used to have a copy but I’m sure it’s still online somewhere
