SSDT & Pre65. Corona virus strikes another major event.?

Good call for pre65, look at the average age ......

Average gets lower every year .

Every year there’s more “legends” turning up on a tricked up “new” pre65 to have a go at winning a trophy in the highlands!

These pot hunters turn out once a year plus the odd practice for this event and then go back to their modern bikes.

It will spoil it and the need to take marks of these “Winners” will eventually drive the stalwarts away and when they’re gone do you think the “new legends” will care about pre65 trials?

Anyway, a great call

Agreed, but some of the old "stalwarts" couldn't even get on the reserve list. All academic now for this year, though if entries carry forward to next year, the ones who missed the cut will be doubly fcuked !

What seems obvious, not my suggestion, entries are accepted on an age basis with all over 65's given a ride any spaces given to over 55's and so on.....

And it was my first visit!

Still thinking of going up but I'll tour distilleries instead - I doubt any Coronavirus could live with that much alcohol around! :)

That would be fair and give the Majority of people who actually support Pre65 a chance to enjoy this fantastic event.

Unfortunately, the young nearly man who wants a prestigious trophy will always get an entry on their trick new bike.

Then there’s the people who pay in various ways to get a ride and their “friends”

Previous winners etc

Just  the poor boys that support the sport week in week out that actually go to the ballot

The Stalwarts that didn’t get in this year will have to wait until 2022 to be disappointed again

Think that's abit harsh isn't it not all young riders wanting to ride pre65 are pot hunters some of us enjoy building bikes and using them not just buying a kit of parts or a drayton and why should it always be the same riders that get an entry

I could be wrong I heard everyone that entered this year {pre 65}eventually got in ???
