Yes thanks mate. I welded a plate on it and gave it a coat of hammerite. Done the job.

Quick question: Should the front disk have movement on it?

Chip

About the front disc, I don't think it should, I noticed with mine today, when I press down on the forks and have the front break on, it kind of clunks, I've found that the disc is moving and it will probably need tightening up.

Must be what it is then mate. Ill tighten it up.

C

the front discs are floating discs, so there will be a bit of movement there.

  • Author

I wont tighten them then... :)

C

The disc MUST be floating. The action of the forks fully compressing when brake is on,puts pressure on the caliper.See technical sections.

Thats why they are called floating disks ,must have some movement or they are not floaters .Just a thought.
