the artist formerly known as ish
I was looking at a picture front page of a 1979 TMX , of Colin Bell works SWM, riding pipeline. In the background it shows riders approaching pipeline from the other side, and then what looks like they get their bikes up on the pipes and ride across some planks. A good few spectators are gathered at the plank crossing, it must of been quite entertaining watching riders slip between the pipes. Anyone remember this ??? the artist formerly known as ish
It's the front page of the April 27th 1979 TMX news, number 102 price 18p Eric Kitchen was more than likely the photographer. And I think the planks and pipe crossing were for the spectators, so they could get up pipeline from the other side and not block the rider trail up.
