I have just bought a Gas Gas JTR 370,
I took the bike out the other night and it developed a small knock.
About 5 minutes later the whole engine seized solid, with no warning.
i have taken the head and barrel off and the rings are okay and the piston is free.
i was wondering if anyone knows what could of happened?
i think a bearing or something has dropped to bits in the bottom end of the engine.

Probably the main or rod bearing (or both), either way is major work. There are other possibilities
that could cause the lockup so you'll want someone experienced to take a look at it.
Where are you located? One of us can probably give you the number of a good dealer who can
help you out.
