Hello, I have just bought a Montesa 348 that was advertised as 1972,since buying the bike and looking for parts I have discovered it was in production from 1976 to 1979.
I am trying to find a website that will determine what year it is,but no luck at the moment, can anybody help, the engine number is 51M 11554,and the frame number is 51M10023.

Cheers John

The engine is '78 and if the frame has the little tubes welded on the sides as case guards, then it's a '78 too. If not, the frame is '77. More or less.

No, not really, but they made approx. 15,000 of them over 3 years, '76'77 and '78 so it's not too hard to guess....
