hi we've had problems with the clutch a few weeks ago, it went very soft, i've changed the clutch master cylinder rubbers, and it felt great, but after the trial on sunday, my lad was telling me it was playing up again

so looked at it this morning, and looking at the side casing noticed there looks like a leak from the bolt where the brass washers are, i've nipped the bolt up, (think my lad has bumped the bolt on a rock to loosen it)

but

what is the best way to bleed the system, think it has air in it now

thanks in advance, any advice appreciated

Mick

Hi

The bolt where the brass washers are would be what is called a Banjo bolt.

You could either bleed the brake in the normal way via a pipe on caliper bleed nipple and pumping the brake lever (you tube has many instruction videos on this method.)

another option if there is a lot of air in the system, is to reverse bleed via a syringe filled with brake fluid from the caliper bleed nipple into the system until fluid is forced into the master cylinder, then bleed using the first ( normal ) method.

Regards

Boni
