Can anyone tell me how to lighten the clutch using a chain link, have seen it mentioned but not how its done.

do a search on these pages its in there somewhere plus a photo of another solution i was certainly a contributor i may have even stated the thread.

Not sure about the chain link mod - but back in the 80's I used to extend the clutch arm and the fastener where the cable mounted the top of the crank case. There is not much room under the induction rubber so I made them long enough to run on top of it. Clutch never slipped and was much easier to operate
