  1. Apologies for delay on update. Thank you all for all your advice, I managed to find some one to do it for £60 plus parts, turns out he lives about 10 minutes from me. One of the bearings was excessively noisy and slight movement. Replaced exhaust packing as well. She sounds crisp now. Thanks again
  2. Mcman56, I did think about oil in exhaust packing as a cause of it still smoking . Do you guys think I should leave alone for a while and see if it calms down. I could change packing first I guess, cheaper option to start with.
  3. Original diagnosis and quote was for seals and didn’t know it wasn’t them until back together and running. Bearings are a little noisy and that is what they believe may be the problem. Starts and runs fine until riding to sections then smokes excessively Thanks for the tips Lineaway
  4. Bike was smoking and was told that bearing seals needed replacing , £200 later and still smoking . Now quoted £240 labour plus parts for bearings if I take engine out, I have access to pullers etc I have never done it but thought this may be an ideal time to learn. I have no time limit, it takes as long as it takes. Thanks for your replies.
  5. Evening, I have to replace crank bearings on my ST 300 Factory 2016, I have been quoted silly money for labour to have a shop do the work so am thinking of doing my self. Any advice or tips would be helpful. TIA. Kev
  6. Many thanks Crazybond much appreciated.
  7. Morning, I removed all the linkage a bearings to re grease and general maintenance at the weekend and now realise that I made one major mistake..... I didn't take any pictures of how it was before I took it apart. I have only had the bike a couple of months. Does any one have a picture of the correct way to re assemble please. I have nominated my self for **** of the week. Thanks

  10. Hi, Can anyone recommend a good graphics company? I am after TXT contact 321 tank graphics. Thanks Kev
  11. Thanks Zippy, I'm hoping that the trials will help with the enduro and vice versa.
  12. Hello All, Returning to trials after a 25+ year break, How the bikes have changed. I have brought myself a 1999 TXT 321 as a bit of a project and to have some fun. I have been doing enduro's for the last 5 years but the urge to get back to trials was too much. Thanks Kev
