  1. Marzocchi forks they are, I got them striped and back together. The rebound leg rod appears to be off centre in the stanction, could my cartridge be bent?? The compression side feels ok but still has some stiction feels like it's coming from within the dampener cartridge not to sure what to do about this
  2. Hi I have a 2008.5 txt raga 300 and am trying to service my fork. I dropped the lowers and drained the oil, I tried to remove the top caps but they are attached to the spring assembly. I am not sure what type of forks they are. It says Sachs on the fork stickers so I would assume that's what they are?? I am not to sure how to set the oil height as the spring assembly is attached to the top cap??? Any suggestions
  3. I am in British Columbia. I only ride trails no looking for a bike for compertion. Thanks for the tips.
  4. Thanks but I already tried the 300 and it's fine that would be my first pick, there is just a lot more of the 280 for sale around here.
  5. Hi, I am looking to replace my old scorpa with a gas gas. There are a few 280 for sale in my area. Are any of the years better than others? I am looking at 2009-2010-2011. Any thing that I should look for? Common gas gas problems? Thanks
  6. My plug? Not sure to tell the truth plug chops are alittle tough with having to he move the tank each time. You can smell that it runs rich. I run the air screw out 2.5 turns.
  7. How did your jetting issue go? My bike also seems to run on the rich side. I replaced the needle and nozzle with new stock items, needle on the top clip, I am running a 38 pilot and still feels a bit rich. I even fitted new reeds. I also use almost double the fuel as the rest of my crew. A bit annoying to always be worried about running out of gas.
  8. Ok just took the bike out and it all seems to work fine with out the round thing ( capacitor I asume) Other than the smoky ness that I feel is from a bad crank seal. My rear brake failed on the last ride home and I had to ride out using engine compression as a rear brake, I feel that this excessive engine braking may have compromised the crank seal.
  9. Hi all while my bike is apart I was trying to tidy up the wiring as I don't run the lights etc. it's a 202 sy250 just wanting to know what the boxes are and if I need them I assume the black box is the CDI need that! The round one attached to the sub frame a capacitor do I still need it to run the fan? What does the silver box do? Do I need it?
  10. I just pulled the reeds and one was chipped about 1mm from the end and they weren't sitting flat. I will flip them but I will need some new ones. Are they hard to get? Can the flywheel crank seal be replaced from the out side or do I have to split the motor?
  11. Ok so as per my last post my 2002 sy 250. Has some strange habits. It runaway revs as it's running out of gas. Which is a problem as it seems to use more than double what my riding companions use. I carry 2 L extra and still have to go home early and there all on there first tank! I have replaced the needle and needle jet, full carb clean checked float height, stock needle on the top notch. and it doesn't seem to be leaking any gas. It doesn't seem to run as smooth as other bikes but I hear that is typical of these motors. Any suggestions?
  12. Well it sure ain't to funny half way up a committing rock section when it hits full rpm you got to toss it and won't shut down even when hitting the kill switch. I think I might have an air leak,
  13. ok sweet i didnt think to put more gas in !!!! I know why it happens it just seems to be on the extreame side on this bike,
  14. My 2002 sy 250 revs to the moon on its own when it's almost out of gas. Is it possible to stop this?
