Anyone ever hear of running an automatic clutch, like a Rekluse, on a trials bike? Some enduro riders swear by them. Oh and nice forum you have here!

Can anyone out there help. I'm organising mugs for this years inter centre team trial and I need an action image of a trials rider on a bike to go on the front of the mug. There are hundreds of road racing and motox but I'm struggling to find a trial version. I've tried working on photographs but the programme I'm working with doesn't understand my commands! So here I am around retirement age and last weekend I watched my first ever trial. And not before time you may add. Dashed enjoyable it was as well and now I rather fancy giving it a go. I'm unsure whether to plump for an old twinshock bike or go for something more modern. Pre 65 is not a consideration simply on cost. I do prefer the look of twinshock bikes and it seems, in my limited experience perusing these forums, that there may be more trials for these bikes for beginners. I assume that twinshocks will be heavier than modern and spares will be more difficult although possibly bikes like Bultaco and Montesa may be a bit easier than others. No scientific analys…

Is it live like last year? and what time is it on

I bought a ccm 644 a couple of months ago so I could nip out and ride off road when I haven't got enough time to get the trials bike out ( and lack of space to practice) but I've been finding it frustrating, it's bloody heavy even though its relatively light for a trail bike, it doesn't lift the front ( guys on the ccm forum have confirmed they're very front end heavy) so if i blip it, it just spins up. Generally I find its not that much fun, I'm hanging on guiding it rather than riding it. Reason I bought a big bike was I wanted something to greenlane on but could do a bit of road work as well, but think it might be the wrong thing and maybe I should just go to a road …

After many years on this forum and the prior Trails Action forum the many times posed question of "Which is the best oil to use in the gear box" has me thinking. After close to 35 years of riding trials I have never heard a rider state "took my gear box apart and the teeth where all wore out and galded" "my gears are all worn down" "my gears have too much play due to wear on them". The point I am trying to make is that how many gear trains did we have go bad due to choosing the wrong type of oil ? I would guess none? I guess what we are really asking when posing the question "Which is the best oil to use in the gear box" is, what oil works best for my clutch in the…

Do any of you folks add them to your bikes ? I always forget when fluids were changed so I probably over change them ... I got the way cool flush / flanged allen head skid plate mount bolts I used on the aluminum plate I modified to fit the 240 , Quality stuff from what I've seen . This story starts off in the enduro world, but takes an interesting turn into the world of trials bikes... I am trying to fix an issue on an 2T enduro bike by improving its lower RPM exhaust scavenging. As I was reading about pipe modelling and design, I came across an interesting article by which an engineer from GM improved the effectiveness of the expansion chamber at lower RPMs by attaching a tuned resonator to the side of the expansion chamber. The article went on to say this was used on a number of production trials bikes and a few enduro bikes. Has anybody seen anything like this hanging off an expansion chamber of a trials bike? Almost always when me and Gavin go out on our bikes gavin always seems to have bad performance from his carb because of Crap(air filter spray) at the bottom of his airbox getting into the carb, Why is this, i use the same spray(PJ1 Filter Spray) and it doesn`t happen to me! Anyone got any ideas? cheers

Cool look? Note the angle of the rear mudguard on Chris Bruands bike. Tired of those boring curved mudguards? Just apply heat gun and bend to shape. Both Bruand & Nozaki's bike were afflicted. Have they started something? Pic taken at the indoor bash before the start if the Verdon 5 day trial in France recently.

I wonder if anyone can help me? I looked at the classifieds on the site and saw someone selling OF3 trials boots. I tried to look up some info on the web but only got MTB sites describing their apparel, not these boots. Has anyone any experience of these boots and/or any pictures? Are they even for motorcycle trials? Maybe they're for bicycle trials or something. Also, has anyone tried a pair of Forma Gripper boots? Opinions? Cheers..........

Just got back from Hawkstone, a fantastic day and result in all classes. Anyone know what fuel the HRC team use in the 4T? cus it's NOT neat petrol, you can smell some sort of additive.

Evening all, Have a question on tyre sealing! Any hints or tips! The rear on my Gasgas was fine, until I rotated it! Now it looses pressure, within hours! I've filled with tyre sealant, but it doesn't seem to make any difference? Any pointers appreciated! Thanks,

I have finally got digital television. one of the main reasons which made me buy it was because my friends told me that indoor trials etc were on all of the time. now that i have bought digital television i cant find trials on any channels. does anyone know where i can find some trials on the television? now that its winter i need some kind of trials entertainment. thank you.
