Dunno how he did but we saw some (brief) coverage of Andorra on our sports channel last night. To be fair that channel covers enduros, mxgp's, sx and motGPs pretty well. Well done Andy

  5. Morning Chaps, In your opinion which bikes are louder, 2T or 4T ? I’ve got (nice) neighbours who don’t hugely appreciate motorcycle noise - can’t understand it myself!!! Obviously, no trials bike is going to be as loud as a crosser, but still worth considering. Cheers Boner.

Who does the cheapest price for wheel rim anodising? Candywheels charge

  8. Started by lancslass,

Seen a number of lads bikes with anodise wheels lately. I think they are smart. In time is everone going to have these and are they going to become a way to personalise your bike with the different colours? I like blue.

I am thinking of getting the wheels on my 04 Sherco 290 anodised black. I have seen Gassers and Beta's with this done, and it looks the dogs, but I think this is helped is these bikes have red in them, and the contrast of colour looks great. Has anyone got any pics of a Sherco with black rims?

Hi Guys, I'm looking to get the frame done on my evo in black, I have been told loads of different stories e.g.. 'anodising is better because it is etched into the metal rather than powder coating is a thin layer on top' etc.. I'm just wondering if some of you lads can help me out on this one, Which one is better & stronger for a frame to be done in black? Any replies would be really appreciated, Cheers, Ben.

Hey all, You may all think down upon me, but i was just wondering on anodising costs for certain parts of the bike, I'm certainly not a showoff and certainly dont have the skills to showoff with, I'm just interested in giving my bike a personal touch. It's a sherco if that gives you a better idea, were all a bit odd Anyway, parts I had in mind were; Rims - Electric blue (like the academy models) Front and rear. Cdi Bracket/engine mount - Gold Yokes - Electric Blue Thermostat Casing - Black Water Pump Cover - Electric blue (I heard these were magnesium, so it would be a spray paint job, this true?) Hubs - Black Put in colours just incase this makes a difference. …

I want to anodize the rims of my sherco and have seen that you can get anodized look paint which looks like a cheaper way to do it, I also wanted to get anodized bolts on my bike but I have found that anodized bolts are usually very soft and break easily. By spraying the original bolts I would save money and stop this problem. I have seen anodized paint here but it only tells you where you can buy it in america. Where can I buy it here and how much does it cost?

Another 'what bike' question, I'm afraid. The 315r seems to be a regularly recommend first-time-trials bike, the Rev3 also seems to get some good reviews and it seems can be got for around what I was hoping to pay if you look at earlier models (ideally under

I'm new here so sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread. As the title states, I'm looking for a new trails bike. I previously had a '10 GG 300 Raga. It was okay but was well used and had problems. I'm looking to get as new as possible now (what makes the most financial sense). So I've narrowed it down to a new Sherco. I've ridden the '18 300 fst and it was great. There's a dealer with a '17 250fst and a private seller with a '19 300fst. I'm a newish rider and am still mastering the basics. I'm used to a 300 trials bike / racing off-road with 300's, for what it's worth. I've been told the '19s clutch is significantly better than the '17. There's a…

with all the talk about bars, i was wondering about different heights for myself: 06 gasser, and i'm 5'7", with 33" long arms. monkey arms, some might say.... but anyways, i'm a stateside intermediate rider going to advanced soon(maybe), and was wondering about the effects of a shorter bar like the dougie fat bar. it's 20mm shorter and 10mm more in width. what would the ups and downs be?

Kudos to TRS for thinking outside the box and designing an electric start that drives the ignition side of the crank. My question is why do we need a separate starter motor at all? Current designs use a high speed starter motor geared down to provide starting torque which is engaged and then disengaged becoming dead weight when not in use. With the lighting coils we have an array of coils in a mass of spinning permanent magnets already. If used for a starter motor and then switched to generate power once the engine is started there is no mechanical interface and none of the animal is wasted as the saying goes. The concept of a motor/generator is old. Real old. Starter/gen…

This may seem a daft question…. Planning on going to a trial for the first time tomorrow at Oxford Ixion just to check it out and learn before taking the newly purchased bike. But I have no idea how long it’s likely to go on for! Starts at 10.30, are they usually an all day thing or a lunchtime finish thing? And do you take food and drink or is there usually a burger van or something? Sorry if this seems an odd question but I can’t find out any info and the Wife wants to know roughly what time I’ll be back! And as shown, I really haven’t got a clue what to expect! 😆

Has anybody seen the latest bargain! on ebay , a very rare 250 air cooled beta that's had 2 grand spent on rebuild. Its amazing how much you have to spend on a bike to get it into such good condition
