I've just bought a gas gas 280 2001 which has a leaky rear hose there seems to be no back brake at all? when i push the rear brake i can see the fluid bubbling out of the rear banjo! but the pads don't move at all? checked the fluid and it is still full. when i bought the bike the guy said it just needed new pads but i knew there was something else wrong with it? there is also a rattle on the engine any common faults with this model? my bro had a look at it and said it could be the water pump but my worst fears are that it's something more. The good news is though i managed to knock

I've just been watching the Madrid Indoor 2007 with Toni Bou holding up a pretty large trophy, and yep you guessed the trophy is topped of with the standared Motocrosser punching the air in triumph. Are there any trophys out there with a trials rider precriously balancing on a plastic rock or do we have to follow the FIM's lead and always use a MX'R.

Have you ever had one of those days, did a trial yesterday and it was so muddy and slippy clay slime under wheel/foot that 3s and occasional 5s were the norm. I am dreading the results turning up dont really want to look to see how bad a day l acctually had.

Hello I live in China and am just about to assemble my GasGas TXT Pro 300. I'm new to trials bikes and I've just bought the GasGas and shipped it out here from the UK. I don't have any air filter oil and I wondered what you would recommend. Would something like WD40 do the job? Clueless in Beijing

Anyone ever had the soles replaced on the Gaerne boots? Apparently replacement soles are available, yet I am wondering about what adhesive should be used. I did speak to a shoe repairman and he was a bit standoffish about the prospect?

Not that the Scott is ever easy but I just wondered what other riders thoughts are. On the late 70s / early 80s Bultos you had a nice seat to sit on and have a rest on the faster bits or the course and even when legging you could get a decent stride / push whilst seated The monshock TY yams were a bit lower but still had a usable seat. Although the modern bikes are lighter they are much harder to sit down on and get a rest, and nearly impossible to leg when in the seated position, I am 6 ft tall which is nothing exceptional but on both Beta and Gasgas I find it nearly impossible to ride or leg seated, find my legs uncomfortably bent and even catch my knees on the footr…

Seems the last few rounds of banter, heated debate, where over technical issues. We have guys on here that speak to their knowledge of torque wrenches, electric pumps, mechanical pumps, and all sorts of others technical prowess. Made me wonder what do we really know about each other? Mmmm Do we know what each other does for a living, what our trades or profession is, what our academic training is? Do we even care? Might be interesting to learn a bit more about each other. I can be found in Linkedin under William Traynor In that vein I will go first: Been riding trials for about 35 years. My riding skills are quickly going to hell in a hand basket (due to two…

I'm looking for any advice on flushing out the crank case? My buddy toasted his GasGas's top end, we pulled the jug off and then had taken time off from the repair. Well some atifreeze went in the crank case and actually did weird things with the synthetic motor oil, actually froze up! You could see that every thing turned white and hardend, I've poured 2 stroke oil in there and let it soak, then put a socket/breaker bar on the fly wheel nut and loosened it up. Crank spins fine, but I'm wondering what would be a good solution to soak/flush the case? Does Napa have something for this? Do you think we must split the case and do the (bottom end bearing), or just let it s…
