Silly question but humour me; The 2013 Sherco ST I bought earlier this year has always suffered from clutch drag-terrible when cold, just annoying when warm. Last weekend I bled the clutch and changed the gearbox oil- 450ml Putoline light gear oil. Just started the bike and wobbled around the garden, and it's worse than before. I'm thinking maybe it wasn't absolutely empty and so now it's slightly overfilled?

hi, why GasGas doesn't recommend gear oil with full specs like e.g. 75W90 but they do only 75W ? is that second part doesn't matter or what? I managed to get actually oil with just 75W specs but I got also 75W90 and wonder which one to use

Hello I have an 62-mod BSA B40 that I am using for classic enduro/ road trails. I am changing to electric ignition, and is searching after the best ignition system. I will run the bike without distributor and battery, and keep it so simple as possible. But I need lights for roadriding. Is there any ignitionsystem like the PVL who can make power to lights? I don`t need good lights, just for day ride.( Rex Caunt Racing is working on a system, but it will not be ready for about 4-5 months.) Thanks to everyone for a great forum, this is my first post

Endurocross It is interesting that Trial bikes are doing so well in a speed race against Enduro and MX bikes. Maybe they are modifying their suspension to cope with the higher speed ? The T-ride seems ideal for this type of event...

Great that Fujis got an entry in, what with Doug and the usual suspects like Browny, Dabs etc riding it looks like the Scott is the non world championship event everybody wants to ride. Long live the Scott.

Help please chaps El Sprogo wants a pair of boots for chrimbo but being female and a bit odd obviously wants "coloured and Alpinestars" ie White!! Trouble is she has wee feet so can anyone suggest where we might be able to get our hands on Alpinestars No-Stop boots size three/four. Guys,, Im off tae look at a 290 sherco which is a good looker commin fae the owner.. is it a GOOD or a BAD bike mechanical wise an in a TRIALS bike.. whta do i need to look out fur, its an 03, any further than this would help me loads. cheers. an Happy new year.. john

The Vertigo is expected to give about 30 HP, 300s from Beta, Sherco and Gasgas are reckoned to give in region of 25 / 27 HP. These sort of power outputs may be what a few top riders need for firing the bike up big steps and very steep slopes on dry grippy terrain, but is is needed or even desirable for 99% of riders?

What’s an acceptable amount of wheel rim run-out? I have a few workshop manuals and they all recommend checking run out when tightening spokes but none give actual tolerances!

So when I bought the 2006 TXT forks for my project bike I knew they had some nicks in the stanchions and the seals were leaking so I ordered a set of seals and with them came a " seal mate tool" ( figured it was a gimmick) , the seals on the forks were leaking bad enough that pumping them a couple times would leave oil film on the stanchions and after a trail ride there was oil down the leg and on the brake rotor. I used a " Lanski" knife sharpening kit which has small super fine stones and honed down the nicks and then just because I had it used the Seal mate tool to clean the seals, the amount of crud this tool removed is amazing and after following the info in this v…

Hi all, I don't think this is particularly bike manufacturer specific... I have just broken my plastic rear sprocket protector (shark fin) practising on rocks. Firstly is this common damage? Or am I being rough on my bike? Secondly, obviously I need to replace it, are carbon parts just fashion and lightness or are they more robust in these areas. I have never bought carbon bits before so have no experience of them. I am not interested in the weight savings to be gained from a small piece of plastic to a small piece of carbon so low down on the bike and I am not into the bling, really.
