hi, why GasGas doesn't recommend gear oil with full specs like e.g. 75W90  but they do only 75W ?

is that second part doesn't matter or what?   I managed to get actually oil with just 75W specs but I got also 75W90

and wonder which one to use :)

Different types of lubricants use different scales:

... when you see 2 numbers divided by the W that indicates an SAE multi-grade blended oil, like you would need if you were accommodating a wide operating temperature range.

Basically, your 75W90 gear oil will be a little thicker at cold temperatures then recommended by the manufacturer.

Personally I would be using ISO 46 UDT hydraulic oil because then my clutch won't drag even at cooler operating temps.

I like the NILS oils and would consider the clutch trials oil myself if you have a good place to get it.

I have used Maxima 75w gear oil in our Gas Gas 125 in the past and it worked well but I did like thinner better myself, however the clutch action is a little faster that way and the 75w slowed the engagement a bit and my daughter liked that a bit better when she was younger and learning.

Example: (no affiliation just the only place in the US I know of I can get it)
