I bought a 5L can of Comma semi synthetic AQ3 Dexron 3 Automatic Transmission Fluid last year for my Sherco 125. I change it (450cc) every 4th trial, with no practice sessions in between. The Comma ATF works well, but does anyone use a different brand that is better? Thanks

Just want to get a feel from the world trials community what they think. If someone had a gas tank off an 05 Montesa 4RT that was signed by all three of the factory riders, Fugi, Dougie and Marc Frexia, is it worth more than a stock tank. Obviously, it would be a little more valuable to a big Hon-tesa owner/fan. Assuming a replacement cost of about 550 bucks American, what do you think someone would pay for it? By the way, I'm not selling it. I'm just curious if it is as valuable as some are trying to convince me it is. p.s. Picture of said tank under Montesa thread. Thanks

Anyone ever hear of running an automatic clutch, like a Rekluse, on a trials bike? Some enduro riders swear by them. Oh and nice forum you have here!

I've uploaded some pics to the gallery - see hrc1 albums etc. Three Englishmen made the long trek, 600 miles across France, to this the second best French trial. The going was all rocks 95% of which had enormous grip that caused probs for those of us more used to the slippery stuff (loop city here I come!) . Each day is about 60 - 70 km with lots of off-road and 25 sections. Day 3 is the big ride out 110 km with three petrol stops. Lunchtime is a 1 hour stop with a 4 course nosh-up - which is fine until you reach the first section of the afternoons run.........All of us got caught with odd time marks, it was never tight on time, but you just had none spare. I attempted…

Just thought I would post some brief, easy to follow advice in view of the number of people who seem to have difficulties with hydraulic brakes or clutches. I would say at least 90% of these problems could be avoided by a few simple steps. 1) Change the fluid (full bleed through) every 6 months or more frequently. Use DOT 4 or HSMO as appropriate. Do not use silicone based fluids. If you see any dirt in reservoir, syringe it out, don't bleed it into other parts of system. 2) When you first get your bike remove the bleed nipples and re fit them using PTFE tape on the threads 3) Check your pads regularly to make sure they move freely and are worn evenly. Any uneven wear…

Did you guys see that 75 TY250 on e-bay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2454626310 I haven't seen one that looks like that since I bought mine brand new in 1975. Wonder where he's been hiding it? It's over $1200 now. I paid $700 for mine in 75. How high do you think it will it go? There's still 10 days left!

Use caution when ordering from B&J Racing, he will not follow through on your order. Been waiting for months for a TYY250 skid plate, he never did anything to deliver the order. Just needed the spacers welded on. Every time I called there was another reason why he couldn't do it, from storms outside to just plane saying he didn't want to do it and maybe he would just retire instead. He is happy to take your credit card number though. At this point he should just close down the website and let people know he simply does not wait to be in business anymore, and not mislead people into relying on him for parts.

Does anyone have a recommendation for footpegs that are a bit back and down from stock? I've not been able to find anything that looked good without costing the earth, and I don't want to re-weld the mounts

20 odd years to be precise (the break that is). Hi all, thought this would be a great place to post as it's a lively forum - good to be here. Anyway, after a LOOOONG break from trials (rode clubman/nationals in my teens), I've decided that it's high time I got back into the sport. This decision was also driven by our glorious Government effectively making 99% of off road riding effectively illegal. So having sold my trusty DRZ400S, I'm in a position to buy a trials bike and get going. Amazingly, my old trials gear still fits! So that's a cost saving I've basically got about
