At our club we have in the past used paper round bags to carry the pegs when marking out (we use 1 per section and then leave the bag at the section making it easy to pick up the pegs after the trial). Recently we tried some cheap haversack type bags but they have not lasted long getting soaked setting out and overnight at the section is not what there designed for I guess and they need replacing. What do other clubs use is there a good alternative to the paper round bag ?

So guys I am selling my 2002 gas gas which is going to fetch me a grand , so I've got a 4 grand budget for my next adventure ..... In your humble opinions .. Best bike for that mooney or save another 2? Grand and wait for the vertigo .....

What tire pressure, front and rear, should I run for different conditions. I weigh 13.5 Stone (230 lbs). I don't want to have a pinch flat but I want as much traction as possible. The conditions I ride range from my concrete patio, in which I place cement blocks, wooden crates, and, what ever else I can find to practice on, to ravines with grass, sand, and, roots. I live in Highland of scotland, mainly rocks with muddy blasts!!, banks, which tyre give the best grip in these types of sections and has the longest life(tread)?? cheers chris

Was at the Motor Show yesterday. Dan Clarke was on as part of the live show - he did basic stuff in terms of Trials trick stuff, but the crowd seem to appreciate it. Wheelies, stoppies, flick turns etc. I think it was 6 quid for the live show. 45 mins of action, obviously mainly cars. Highlight was a chap putting a Honda 2000 soft top into a tight doughnut, casually climbing out of it whilst it was still spinning, then walking back and getting back in and driving off.

Did my first trial at the weekend. It was only a beginners and wobblers but what can I say it was so much fun. The biggest difference for me was the attitude of those involved as it was much more relaxed than any Enduro or H&H I've competed in. I know as a B&W it isn't meant to be a competition but it was the fact that everyone was enjoying themselves and being helpful to us beginners. I found the beginners route too easy and the novice routes to hard so I stuck to the wobblers and found that once the nerves had disappeared and I did more laps the better I got. Here are a few hints, tips and suggestions to help keep your machine in good order..... AFTER EACH TRIAL : Block exhaust rear pipe ( bung or clingfilm). Block air entry to air filter ( gaffer tape or clingfilm wrap). Wash machine with garden hose or pressure washer. DO NOT AIM JET DIRECTLY AT WHEEL BEARING SEALS OR BRAKE HUBS, STEERING HEAD OR GEARBOX OUTPUT SHAFT AREA. Clean these areas with a softish bristle brush and soapy water. It was bicycle trials, but how much exposure to the general public do you think it got? Auditoriums (sp) full of folks. I wonder if they associated it with trials, or had any idea, or if it was just a Circus act for them? Wonder if it will be Motorcycles next time? It was impressive though.

I've decided on a TRS one but I'm getting mixed reviews between the One R and RR. I've heard for a very average rider (like me) the One R is forgiving but offers the versatility of the other models without having to "tame it". I've also however heard people who say they find the RR perfectly smooth and not too much of a handful. I totally get that rider ability playa a massive part but I was looking for any experience or advice subjective to an average rider looking to improve some of the "trick" type skills such as blips and hopping etc. Thanks.

A couple of months ago Shirty got some serious stick for his alleged self promotion on this site. Well now he has been upstaged ! Only a PR man could manage to write so much about his attempts to get his lardy ar*e into shape in his vain attempt to grab SSDT glory. Seriously though I realise from experience that several Trials Central readers don't get irony and sarcasm so yes I am only joking. Running at 70 : 1 how much oil do I put into 5 litres of fuel. I worked it out at 71.6 centilitres for the 5 litres is that right. Where can I get a calibrated jug that gives you that kind of measurement. Thanks
