Not sure if there is a more appropriate forum than this General one but here goes, I'm looking at building a new Garage in the garden to free up the integral one for a new bedroom, having built a block and concrete tile roofed one before and suffered with terrible condensation problems I was looking at building a substantial timber one. This would be constructed in a similar method to a timber frame house with 100 x 38mm CLS, then ply lined with a membrane and finally timber clad. Has anyone any experiences good or bad with this type of building? I found this company in MCN who supply ready built garages which would save me building the panels: Warwick buildings Thi…

I have managed to sell one of my road bikes this week so took the plunge and bought myself my first trials bike tonight . I have bought a 1996 Gas Gas TXT 270 for a bargain price. I was looking at spending a bit more and getting a 2000/2001 bike potentially but I saw this come up for sale toady and it seemed too good of an offer to let pass, and comes with a trailer too Can anyone tell me much about the model? The next thing now on my hit-list is to get myself kitted out with clothing. I know I need some decent trials boots and a trials helmet, but other than those two items what else do I NEED? For now I just want to go ride the bike at a club practice ground or so…

  5. Well as the title says, i eventually got my hands on a sticker kit and i am just looking for tips on the best way to apply it, so that i dont make a mess (air-bubbles,ripping the sticker) as they are far from cheap. Thanks in advance

Andy, why don't you create a new forum called which bike? Maybe it will make it a little bit easier for those punters to find the topics.

  7. Have a look to Alfredo Gomez

Hello dear trials community. I am a new member and a new rider. However my Beta Rev 3 isn't new at all and I will soon need to start purchasing parts and upgrades. Which websites offer, in your experience, the best deals? If you know any local shops which don't have a web site, an email would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for dropping in your oppinions.

I have been using an NZI Carbon fibre helmet for several years now. The bugger has developed a nasty odor that seems to be fermenting like a fine aged cheese. I have used Helmet deodorants and occasionallly wash it out but the smell comes right back. I would like to find a replacement liner for it if possible. Anyone have any experience with finding a liner to fit the NZI? I know there are several trials helmets that come with removable liners but no one seems to know if you can buy an extra liner. I may choose to buy a new helmet with a removable liner, but only if I can get spare liners for it. Any advise, ideas etc.....is welcome. Ride slow.....take chances.

Hi, I'm new to trials and I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm looking for good spots to ride the bike. Can anyone recommend areas in west midlands/ shropshire etc to go where I won't be stopped by rangers etc and told to p*** off? Doesn't have to be full of features as getting to grips with the bike- just want to get out on it propery! Many thanks for any help. Mil

hi there, OK, I'm thinking of having a go at doing some trials with my lad who has just started. Been riding bikes on and off for more years than I care to think, but never a trials bike. I'm not aiming to be the next Dougie Lampkin, so would a 125 be adequate or would that be too underpowered for me, I'm average build and weight. I see a lot of 250+ machines advertised, but are they much heavier and is the extra power/torque necessary for someone like myself who will be doing the basic routes for the next few years ? I'd welcome any recommendations / advise / pointers from you experts out there. Cheers
