Hi I am new to this forum and I don't know what I doing and hope I am in the correct section !! If not well there you go . I got myself a Montesa Cota 247 and know next to nothing about trials / trail / dirt / 2 stroke bikes . I may annoy you a bit asking simple questions to you but I will be lost . I am doing the front forks now and I have been told 200 ml of 10 wt oil . There was 150 ml in each leg when I emtied them out so I am taking notice of a comment on this forum of 200 ml and 10 wt oil . I suspect that the crank seal's need doing so when I get to that stage I will be yelling out " HELP ME PLEASE " I am in Sydney Australia so maybe there is some one close to …

How you all doing? I came about this site last night while searching as you do. iv ridden mx bikes since i was little and have always wanted a trails bike just think there pure fun factor. Im 31 years young so what cc would be suited to learn all over again my last bike was a kx250 but that was for razzing around tracks and fields nothing more than pin it back and have some fun. So to learn would a 125/200 be best or a 280? As the riding style is deffo gonna need work lol thanks for reading adam

Hi all I'm just about to start getting back into trials. After finishing university last year i can finally afford it again!!! seems like a really cool forum! I have a nice 02 315r lined up (purchased in 03) to buy and 3 acres to practice on and set up obstacles etc 1 thing concerns me though i dont know anybody who rides trials anymore. Is there anyone on here i can practice with around the Stoke-on-Trent/Leek area? was thinking on practicing on my land, whitemore farm, hermitage farm etc... Thanks all Steve

Hi all. As the title i am new to trials and looking to buy my first bike. Up until now iv only ever had 125 road & mx bikes. I had a play on a friends montesa 315 last weekend and loved it! I've always been interested in trials but never give it a go but now the KTM is up fo sale So what bike??? i only have a budget of about £1800 so looking for something reasonably cheap. I love the look of the shercos and can pick up 250's for good money and also there are 1 or 2 decent looking 250 gassers about around 2006 in budget. Any info would be good. I have been told though because im only 5ft4 and 8 1/2 stone a 250 would be too powerful for me and to get a 125... P…

Hello knowledgeable ones. If the gear oil is coming out grey and milky after about 6 hours use is that normal. Someone told me it could be river water that's been sucked in, or head gasket or water pump seals. I've come late to trials - the riding is tricky but the maintenance seems a minefield.

Hello folks as you will no doubt see from the user name i'm originally from sheffield but now exiled due to marriage and kids in deepest darkest lancashire (oh the shame on the family name! ) well in Lytham st.annes to be precise. Now lytham is nice enough but it is to trials what my granny is to downhill skiing! I've spent a few hours reading this and many other sites and it would appear that i need to do a few things to get started....namely find a club and try a few bikes So there in lies the problem. Lytham is about 5 miles from blackpool and 12 or so from preston. With a bit of head stratching i've worked out that the local clubs seem to be Bolton, Lancs county o…

Hi, I'm Gavin 28 from Consett in the northeast of England, I've got a lot of experience on 2 wheels sadly non of that is motor powered, as I'm a keen mountain biker, doing anything from cross country riding to racing Downhill events, I only really learnt to ride a motor bike last summer on a Pitbike I bought, and after deciding to get a trials bike a couple weeks ago the hunt was on for one. And this week one came up that I couldn't refuse to get. Collected it today and I'm over the moon with it. The bikes a 2006 Beta 270 Rev 3 and is also road registered, but sadly I don't have a bike license. got the bike for

I just thought I'd stick the old Reverential nose into here & introduce myself, so if I can buy anyone a drink just ask.. So here's hoping I've done the right thing, then. Turned fifty & still want to hurt myself riding those bloomin' bikes, so my mother said to me this afternoon. Doesn't have to be like that, does it? I mean, it's all about low speed skill & balance, surely? Yeah, right. I've had a fair few years in the past with the TRF (Trail Riders Fellowship for non UK folks) but got fed up with the constant confrontations with stupid people & red tape. Love the principle, hate the practicality. Had a few years competing in some of the three main …

Hi guys , I've been riding a gasgas250 pro since May using Plutoline 2 stroke as per the previous owner. Have read a few forums I have decided to change to Ipone. Not sure whether I should drain the tank /clean out the carb before changing or just mix it up and pour in the tank. The bike has been running ok but seems to struggle a little at tick over. I have been mixing 80ml/5litres. Any advice welcome.. Thanks in advance
