hiya i live in east lothian scotland i was wondering if there is any trials clubs or any groups that meet up in my neck of the woods that i could maybe join or tag on with as i am a wee bit fed up riding on my own and with my own usual routes . any new company would be much apreciated cheers alan

Je viens d'acheter une 250 TXT de juillet 2004 . Elle démarre hyper mas au kick !. Je l'ai essayé av achat . Elle tourne et roule bien . Moteur T bonne compression. J'ai contrôlé l'étincelle a la bougie et elle me semble bien faiblarde !. Vos idées svp . Merci .

I have just bought a Gas Gas JTR 370, I took the bike out the other night and it developed a small knock. About 5 minutes later the whole engine seized solid, with no warning. i have taken the head and barrel off and the rings are okay and the piston is free. i was wondering if anyone knows what could of happened? i think a bearing or something has dropped to bits in the bottom end of the engine. thanks. I just started trials riding having done a bit of enduro!! Currently living in Coventry but being in the forces I am currently stationed at Tidworth near Salisbury!! Hi, Congratulations on a great site, loads of information. I'm about to buy my first trials bike after many years of riding sportsbikes on the road. I'm too aware of my own mortality these days It's been 25 years since I rode my mates sherpa and I'm looking for something older to start on. I'm leaning toward a TY250 mono at the moment but have the chance of a 1991 Cota 310. Any advice on which would be best to start on or possible other options? Cheers.

Hi, at the age of 65 I am wanting to have a go at trials (only the begginer sections I expect) having a bit of a dodgy back I want the lightest bike that my tall frame will allow. As it will be the easy sections I doubt that power will be an issue and have been looking at 125 cc but I was wondering if an adult could ride the beta senior big wheel 80 cc. I am guessing this would be very light ?? Best regards David

Hi there. I've recently bought a TY250 Mono and almost fitted a towbar to the car. Many years ago, I owned some nice TL's and I visited a local Trial at Hood Green in Barnsley last weekend. Do any of the members know of places where it is legal to ride, without incurring the wrath of Plod and residents? I believe that there is a site at Buxton, certainly Derbyshire, where trials machines can practice. Any comments are appreciated and It will be good to meet with like minded people. My name is Romain, I live in France, in the area of Grenoble in the Alps. I am 38 and I have been practicing trial motorbike for 19 years, ie half of my life. I started with a 125 Yamaha TY, then I get a SWM 320 TL, a Scorpa easy, a GasGas 280 TXT pro, a GasGas 200 TXT, a Montesa 309 and I will have very soon a Beta Rev3 250. I mainly use my bikes for freeride and I am passionnate by old mechanics, reason why I come here to read topics dealing with motorbike restaurations.

I'm looking for the smallest size rear sprocket I can find. I thought I found a 42 tooth on e bay last night but today I can't find it! I would really like to find something smaller like maybe a 32, 34 or 36. Also, has anyone bumped up the front sprocket to a 14 tooth? With the cover, it doesen't look like there is much room? I'm an absolute newbie to trials, and I have yet to attend an event. My introduction to trials was, lets say, rough. After a 15 year absence I have decided to dust off my TY175 and try some vintage events. At 64 I hope I can still geterdone! I also have a 82 WhiteHawk TY80 conversion that I brought back to the states after a tour in the UK with the USAF. I was fortunate to be able to purchase it as a Kit and put it together one I got home. The WhiteHawk has a 20X2.75 frt tyre and is in need of replacement, but I have been unable to locate one. If anyone knows of a source I would appricate it.

Got a 2018 Montesa 260 4RT pulled it out of the garage last week & it kicked over first time let it run for 10 minutes, turned it off then kicked it over It started 1st time again let it run for a bit and ooking at the tacho it was running at over 2000 rpm so I turned the screw in a touch so it was running nicely at about 1850rpm at the same time I tucked the wiring that runs from the ignition behind the clip under the regulator...... turned it off then when I came to restart it wouldn’t start, did the reset, still wouldnt start so I looked at that wiring from the ignition & took off some loose electrical tape & pulled it out from…

Hi all, I have just brought my first trials bike and moved to live in the french alps. It has great terain to play on but my bike has bad clutch drag, which does not inspire confidence for a beginner. I have had the whole clutch assembly changed and the master cylinder by the local gasgas dealer. Has anyone got any advice what the next thing to try is?

Good day ladies and gents, I am fairly new to riding trials bikes but have been a road bike rider for 25 years. A group of mates used to meet at Croft trials club (North Yorkshire) on a saturday to basically have fun and improve our bike control skills. I am now moving from North Yorkshire to Colchester in Essex and was wondering if there are any similar facilities in the Colchester area? I have a Dave Cooper rack fitted to the car so don't mind some travelling. It would be good to meet up with like minded individuals and groups in Coli, hey I may even pluck up the courage to attempt a trial one day ;-) Kind regards Pete

Hello, Im Nadine, Im not exactly new to the trials scene, iv been riding bike trials for the past 6 years. I did have a little gas gas 50 cc when i was younger but i got it just as foot and mouth came out so due to lack of use i sold it to buy a better push bike trials bike... I'm now nearly 18, and my dad got me a sherco 250 for both of us and for once he's a better rider than me hahaa!!. But im slightly new to larger scale motorcycle trials.
