HI how strange another new member from colchester area. I have been riding bikes a long time and have had a couple of goes at trials in the past. I have a Bultaco 325 1976 recently restored, a 315 Montesa 2000, a BMW R1200S, (I love this machine), and a KTM EXC400 that I use for green laneing, I was a member of Castle Colchester, but now plan to join Braintree club as its more trials oriantated. I am a civil engineering consultant, this is a pain as it uses up to much time that could be better spent riding.

Hi my name is Danny. I used to use this forum a few years back when I first started trials, but I forgot what email and password I used, so I decided to make a new one. I'm from Worthing, West-Sussex and ride with Worthing Trials Club and sometimes other clubs too. I also ride Cycle Trials, I ride in some British Championship rounds and local trials clubs too. Just started my 5th year of riding now, and ride a Gas Gas 125. Currently saving for a 250 Sherco 2012

Hi I have just joined and have just purchased a Triumph Tiger Cub with a 250cc Triumph Tigress / BSA Sunbeam engine installed. It's apparently been tuned and had also taken part in some trials in the past and was ridden by Pixie Briggs. So I can decide it's fate (restore as a trials machine or convert into a road cub) I would very much like to find out what it looked like at the time. I will upload some photos to the garage on how it looks today. This is my first trials machine. My other machines are road going Tiger Cubs and the BSA / Triumph Scooters - 175cc and 250cc.

Hello everyone, I've been racing motocross and harescrambles for years, but just recently purchased a 2002 Scorpa SY250 that I've been having a blast making a fool out of myself on haha. Being new to the sport I'm trying to find some people from my area (north central Pennsylvania) to ride with. The wife and I also just purchased 55 acres of land and there is a pretty nice collection of large rocks in one area that i hope to develop into a trials playground next year, so i definitely want to find some more people to ride with. If your from the area and would like to ride, hit me up.

Hi all: Just signed up on TrialsCentral! I picked up a 97 Montesa Cota 315r on craigslist the other day. It's in need of some love, but the price was right. Waiting on some dellorto parts to arrive to get the carb running properly, but in the meantime, I'll be practicing my balance on the front lawn. Something clicked for me yesterday and I'm now able to balance the bike for a few minutes with the bars going either direction. I'm really looking forward to enter a local event at the end of May. Looking forward to being on this forum and learning all I can. Thanks very much. D

Hi All I have just bought myself a 2003 gasgas TXT 250 and am looking forward to the world of trials riding. Any other new riders in the swales area please get in touch.

  9. Hi All, As the title says, I've just bought a 315r & this seems like a good place for info & advice, I haven't even ridden it properly yet as it's stood a while & I want to change the fluids & check it over first, also I must contact the guy I bought it off as he's forgotten to give me the seat I had a ancient Bultaco 250 Sherpa T 20 odd years ago followed by a Fantic 303, but haven't thrown a leg over a trials bike for about 12 years, I only ever used them for fun & am totally useless, but that'll all change, the 315r being a more modern mount will have me riding like a pro.........or maybe not. noMates. (Montesa, geddit!)

Hi I am new to this forum and sport, I have been drooling over trials bikes for many years and after 10+ years on an enduro bike i am about to embark into the skilled world of trials. got the green light today from my wife and i have my eye on a nice 2004 montesa 315. Hope this move turns out to be all i expect, having never even ridden a trials bike. I live in Swaziland and have all the right terrain on my doorstep to take advantage of, not to mention i have two small boys who i would rather see started on an Oset than a peewee! ... need to get a head start since the older one is 3 and i will need the skill to match his energy

  12. Hi all, while i'm not quite a stranger on here it seems everyone are giving up trials - so i'm after more riding buddies I'm on the Wirral now previously living in Liverpool, used to regularly ride at Nant Ucha or Cowm Quarry and did Beginner route at Frodsham mcc last year. Usually free a couple of times a month for a practice and a trial. Would be good to get riding again. Cheers

Hello every one, just joined the forum and want to say Hi, I have just bought a 1979 Montesa Cota 247 and i am attempting to relive my youth at 51 years of age. The bike is stripped down for restoration as i type this, it was complete and running lovely when i picked it up last week. The frame, swing arm and side stand are ready to go to the powder coaters and the shopping list for new parts will start next week when i return from holiday. I am looking forward to getting involved in the forum and hope to pick up useful information and tips regarding the bike and getting back to riding trials after a 30 year lay off. Cheers John.

i've been reading the posts for awhile, but just registered last night. I live in Prince George, B.C. Canada. I've been riding trials since 1983, with a few hiatusses(sp). I just bought a '06 Beta 270, and absolutely love it!!! My last bike was a '96 Techno, and before that TY's in all sizes. I picked up my bike a couple of weeks ago, and since it has snowed about 2 feet!!! it will be a month at least before i can ride near home. anyway, HI to everyone and im jealous of all of you that get to ride and compete while im out snowmobiling.

Just thinking of buying a Montesa Cota 247 72-78. I had one when I was seventeen some 49 years ago. Thought it would be a fantastic project and also to get me fit. The only problem is some of the parts are missing, engine cover, exhast and rear brake lever. Just wondering are thease parts still available? sure there will be other parts it needs. .....Thanks ...Lee

Morning everyone, just bought a Fantic 247 to renovate and compete in North Lancs area trials. They're a lot more technical than my old Montesa, Bultaco's and Ossa's ever seemed to be. Already met Bill Pye who seems to know more than anyone else about these machines. Can anyone direct me to any legal practice areas in North Lancs please. Thanks.

Hello everyone I am returning to the sport, I purchase a gasgas 2008 txt pro. I am not a comp rider just a tech trail rider. I learned on a dual springer ty 175, then a Pinky ty, followed by a 13 year break. I am hoping to learn from you guys, and maybe pass on some info. My career choice is a transport mechanic, so working on these small machines is really quite fun and simple. Thanks in advance
