Evening all, bought my bike at the back end of 2019, being a novice I did a practice day at nant ucha and loved it.. Done one competition which was challenging to say the least, then the local club had to cancel the other dates due to the weather and then we had covid.. so with loads of free time on my hands I decided to give it a good strip down and clean.. Also if anyone is good at identifying bikes, I can't remember the year of this ? All the best Jamie

hi all just bought a 2002 gas gas txt pro so that i could do courses set out for modern bikes and not destroy my old TY mono! I really like the bike but it has several issues! last sunday at rileys railway it blew the thermostat out at the bottom of a 30ft bank, its a pig to get into neutral and a proper git to start!! I think the starting issue might be down to having old fuel and it looks like the pilot jet has sheared off.hopefully a dip in the ultrasound tank and a new pilot might solve this problem. i have tested the fan with a battery and it runs ok, bit concerned that the pressure relief valve in the rad filler cap didn't blow before the thermostat, …

Hi new to trials, and I'm going out on my recently purchased Montesa 315R today for the first time, if I survive I'll carry on posting!! My first offer to the community is a link I came across, it's the Kickstart (remember it) 1983 Final with Peter Purves and Mick Andrews, I suppose this is what got me interested in trials years ago and finally 25 years on I've finally bought a bike, must be that 40's thing. 35 mins good quality and can download from google. 1983 Kickstart Final Also the originating site which has some excellent media trials footage. Good trials site for media footage. cheers, Mal PS. If links dont work here are the URL's. video.google.co.uk/video…

I acquired this bike some 7 years ago from a very good friend who said, get it going and its yours for your son to ride it when hes old enough to. I did but my friend was tradicly killed 6 months later in a bike accident. I ran the bike for a couple of years after that, replaced the points and plug but then its been in storage for some years and I am struggling to start it.The condensor has been checked and is ok. I dont know exactly what model it is, or the engine size. The engine number shows 29MO2718** the ** may be only scratches and not part of the serial number. I want to restore the bike back to its original condition as I promised this to my son who is now big en…

Hello I'm a new to trials and have just picked up a Fantic Section 1996 modle, a cheap winter project. I would really apreciate a copy of a workshop manual if any can help. Ive also just stripped the water pump as I had water in the oil so if anyone knows where I will get a water pump kit I would be very gratful. I will post some pictures once she looks a little healthier, one of the previous owners was a complete animal, he cut a hole in the side casing to get access to the clutch slave cylinder, when I said winter project I think it could turn into a labour of love. Any help would be greatfull, spares, documentation W.H.Y Kind Regards, Arthur

Hello, My name's Paul, Today, a week after turning 48, I bought myself a gas gas 250 txt pro (2005) as a kind of belated birthday pressie to myself. Ive a few mates who are right into this trials malarkie and they say its brill, I felt like I was missing out on some good fun, especially as my road bike is tucked away hibernating till springtime.. Ive never riden it yet, any top tips for a total beginner? Cheers Milsh.

Hi all. I am from Hartlepool. I have fancied giving trial a go for sometime now. Always had road bikes but thought this year must be the year. I got my hands on a gasgas 250. Yesterday. Today I did oil change, coolant change. Bled the rear brake and new pads. And give it a little run around my back garden for half hour. I must say. Starting from standing is strange but I can'twait to get to the club. I have a towbar getting fitted next week and all excited.

Hi All! I'm very glad to have found this forum I've tried my hand at a "fun" trial with Mortimer Classic MCC 2 weeks ago, on a KTM 300 EXC, and despite being on the wrong machinery I have never enjoyed myself on a motorcycle so much! 😄 So much so, that I ended up selling one of my other bikes to find the funds for a Gas Gas TXT 250. I'm now in the process of finding more opportunities to ride the GG, so that I can get out of the house and have some fun on the weekends. I'm based between Reading and Basingstoke. Any recommendations for clubs that allow practice trials in the South of England? Many thanks! Michel
