I started riding trials in the '70s in Michigan and Canada, had a ty250. I could not shake the trials bug and purchased a '99 Scorpa Easy 3 years ago. Not alot of information for working on this bike, the Rotax motor is great. I am looking for some riding pals around Ventura California. I have two 10 year old's, riding for 3 years on Honda '50s, this has me back on a Yamaha ttr 225 as a trail bike; I still love trials first. Bob

  7. Hi, After years and years of desperately wanting to go from bike to motorbike trials i have finally done it and got a Gas Gas 280 Pro Raga! How unbelievably more awesome it is than i even thought it would be. I'm completely hooked and desperate to get the hang of this, bike trials helps but its still another kettle of fish altogether or atleast it is to someone that has never ridden a motorbike before. Anyway i'l be searching through all the posts for great tips and advice with all the common beginner questions. Looks like a great forum, dont worry ive been a member of quite a few and know how to use the search button....

Hi all. I thought I would join up in a attempt to find the parts I need to finish my garelli 323 trial mono. I have had this bike for ten years and I love it but due to a friend heat seizing it I now need a new piston and rings / barell. Little end bearing and gaskets. If I could find these parts I would strip her in to bits and totally re do her. Any help or advice would be amazing as I am stuck on what I cam do to it. Thanks for reading. Mark

How you all doing? I came about this site last night while searching as you do. iv ridden mx bikes since i was little and have always wanted a trails bike just think there pure fun factor. Im 31 years young so what cc would be suited to learn all over again my last bike was a kx250 but that was for razzing around tracks and fields nothing more than pin it back and have some fun. So to learn would a 125/200 be best or a 280? As the riding style is deffo gonna need work lol thanks for reading adam

Hi. I'm a fixing dad for my two boy's, and soon for my little 6 year old daughter. We live in West coast of Norway, and we are members in a very active Trail club. I have fixed one Beta, and are soon starting on the new bike for my middle child. I'm locking forward to know some of you, and perhaps learn a great deal. Hi Everyone, My buddy just gave me this Trail bike for my son. I think it is a 1984 just by looking at other pics . I live in London Ontario Canada and I cant find anything on these except from over seas. It only has 86.4 kms on it. Its like new. It has been stored away for 20 years. The gas was drained and the air box was turned into a home for several mice. The air filter is missing and I need to find one? It has 403 stamped on the cover. Can anyone tell me if there is a Canadian or American dealer? If I cant find anything, what are they worth? I might have to sell it. Thanks Jerry

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've been riding on and off road since the 90s and recently went on a trials day and was hooked within minutes. After a bit of research and being a life long honda guy I picked up a used 2007 250 montesa 4rt. I love the bike but I have a question re the number of clutch plates. The manual says 6 friction and 5 steel. When I search online I'm seeing some clutch packs with 7 friction and 6 steel that apparently fits my bike. It needs a new clutch as has been sitting for years, when I stripped the clutch the friction material started to crumble. So is it 6 friction and 5 steel as per the manual or am I missing something. Thanks

Hi, I am new. I have grown up around motorcycle trials, but haven't ever had a bike of my own etc and really haven't participated. Anyways I am trying to decide if I should go Bicycle Trials or Motorcycle trials? My Dad has always ridden moto's, but I'm not sure yet. Plus a lot of the used motos aren't all that much more than a new bicycle! so anyways here i am. I am in Utah. anyone else in or around here>? oh and edit: this is what my dad's bike looks like. but he has red fenders.

Hello, Just getting the virtual beers in, I've swapped over to the "dark side" aka Trials from Enduro. The KTM 250F was flogged (before it went bang, but with a new piston in it.... I don't flog duff gear) and a rather tasty '07 Gasser 250 TXT Pro was slotted into its place in the garage. Currently time is my foe, or should I say lack of it (and the pants weather), the GG has been up & down the drive and that's it in a whole month of ownership!!.... not good. I'm a member of the Manchester 17 MCC club and tend to marshall & set up at the enduro events when I can, I've marshalled one trial and spent hours stood in a stream... being a stickler for marks didn't bo…

Hello T.C.M's I'm trying to find parts for my 84' Ty 250,and as I search the Net I'm finding it difficult to locate much of anything ? However, parts seem to be available in other countries...Am I missing some Canadian sites or are parts for theses bikes really not available here ? Do I really have to order parts from the UK or from down-under... Where do you other Ty owners get parts ; am I not looking hard enough ? I know here in Nova Scotia these bikes are a rarity and parts even more scarce... Any-thoughts ? Thanks
