Hello everyone, I'm currently rebuilding a 350 199a and hopefully this forum will prevent me entering therapy for a little while longer. I bought it off e-bay and it looked ok and I was willing to take the risk. I think I've managed to salvage the frame and one bolt! However, the combined expertise of everybody out there may help me to get to the finish. I scrambled in the 70s and 80s but would like to trial the bike when I eventually finish it along with my son who has just got a 125 Gasser. In terms of collections I've got bits everywhere, a GSXR750 Slingshot on the road and I am slowly collecting a 78 RM250 when I come across any bits and pieces. Look forward t…

Hi guys, So here I am contemplating another bike. 2 years back I had my workshop broken into and my bikes stolen. My main ride was a KTM SXF 350 and I had a li'l Beta Rev3 250 2007 for messing about on. I incidentally got the Beta back after it had been dumped (it was a bit rough to be fair) however after retrieval I left it in my van over night to have it nicked again and that was 3 weeks later after the 1st theft hmmmm something fishy going on there me thinks. Anyhoo Vowed I wouldn't ride or buy a bike again!! Well my 'vow' isnt holding water, 2 years on and I'm feeling like ive lost a limb and am starting to look at trials bikes. My experience with trials is …

Been riding trials for about 9 years now and having a grand time . The last 4 or so on a D14 Bantam , I love old British bikes going back to a 69 Triumph that I rode all over the eastern US . The Bantam has been a long term project , with the help of my friend Bob at B&J racing and friends in England I think it has turned out well . Also been working to help promote our twinshock organization ITSA that is growing into a fine bunch of people that truly enjoy trials . Cheers , Bruce

Hello everyone, I used to ride a bit of trials as a kid, a long time ago! and now I would like to start riding again. I am from the Leamington Spa area and have not been able to find the Startford club on the web. I am looking for a cheap bike and I think I would like to start in the classic or twin shock classes, any help or advice would be useful.

  11. Hi all! I am debating on whether I will start riding trials or not, but I do have a 1974 KT250 that I'm wanting to get back into tip-top riding condition, whether I compete or not. This thing has been family owned since new. My great-uncle bought it in 1974 and sold it to my grandfather (his brother) in 1999, who brought it back to life for me. I am not a mechanic, but I'm excited to start on this fairly simple motor. My goal is to have this in excellent riding condition. Right now I've got to clean the carb and gas tank. Oh, and change the oils. That should get it running, but then the fun starts. I will probably rebuild the top end (not sure if its ever…

Hello. I am the new proud owner of a 2001 Beta Rev3 250cc. I am new to the trials scenery and fairly new to enduro all together, so I thought I should drop by and say HI. And since I'm here, can anyone point me to the right Dellorto model for my Beta? Its current carb is no good at all. It leaks and floods like crazy. I will try to apply Billy T's mods first, but I am seriously thinking of buying the better carb for her. Thank you.

Hi all, I've wanted to get a trials bike for a few years and well, a great deal came around. I purchased a 2022 Beta Evo 300 2T with only 6 hours on it. I purchased it from a supercross kid who didn't like it, because he "likes going fast" and because he wrecked recently in a race and had to have shoulder surgery. As a novice I was looking for a 200cc or 250cc but used trials bikes are hard to come by around here and this was a stellar deal for a "new" bike. I'm looking forward to learning the basics and appreciate the expertise on this forum!

I've been browsing the forum for a couple of weeks and decided to say hi. I've fancied trying trials for years. Having just sold a 90 VFR750 I had some space in the garage and bought a 99 Gas Gas TXT 321 off ebay last week. So far I've only ridden it for a quick figure 8 outside the garage. I live under 2 miles from Warden Law so I intend to put it back on the road and save time and money by riding it there to practise. It's a Q reg as dating evidence wasn't provided on registration, I may try to correct this for ease of insurance, but on the other hand an age related plate would according the the regs I've read mean a brake light was required as it's after 86. ebike …

Just thought I would introduce myself here as I have interested in trials bikes for a few years. I am now determined to purchase my first trials bike within the next few months...as soon as I can save up enough. I have never ridden a trials bike but I rode a lot of BMX and FMB and learned some of the basic trials bicycle principles over the years. I may be underestimating a 150lb motorcycle but I assume some of the same principles apply. I grew up on dirt bikes and ride on the street but this will be my first trials experience. Open to suggestions and advice on purchasing my first trials bike, as well as any input you all might have regarding the trials community out her…

Hi all My names Richard just getting back into trials after years of road bikes. Ive ridden trials since school and had trials bikes on and off since then but been out of it for seven years. Ive just bought a Gas Gas and im looking forward to having a crack at some local trials around stirling area. If any one can recommend a good practice spot it would be appreciated as my old stomping ground Fankerton glen has apparently become a nature reserve so I can imagine its out of bounds these days. Is it just me or was the public a lot more mellow in 1993. Cheers Richard
