hi all, I used to ride trials from a very young age to when I was 13. mainly rode with Mansfield maun, north debyshire and also ymsa. Went onto motocross for a few years then racing downhill mountain bikes. I had a big crash 5 years ago and smashed one shoulder to bits needing a full reconstruction and 10 weeks ago done the other shoulder now. So 4 operations in the last few weeks and I'm into recovery now and cant risk racing anymore. And we had been talking about starting trials again before the crash so now I cant wait to start again. Will be picking up a 15/16 beta in the next week or so and getting everything ready for when I can start riding again. …

Hi folks, a mate has been trying to get me into Trials so I had a first go this weekend in a field and going slowly around a tyre. We're both beginners, me more so. He's bought a ~2008 GasGas 280. To cut to the chase, my throttle control wasn't so good and when I stopped relying on the clutch I ended up chucking it in a hedge. We'll be looking for a 125 or easier 250 to learn on but in the short term, where's my best bet for sourcing a replacement used clutch cover? Managed to crack it! Thanks and hello, Des

We entered a trial earlier in the year after a few practices and we were rubbish but had a great laugh. We have not been out for a few months due to a family illness but are raring to go again and are looking for places to practice and a few tips of the trade! All the best Andy.

Hello everyone, looking forward to getting input from all you veterans. You all seem very knowledgeable.. I am an old Kawasaki Hare Scrambles Team rider form t he late 80s, Now have a KTM300exc. My friend owns a Beta dealership and I went to a trials a few weeks ago, got the immediate itch and bought a bike within the week. Used but very clean. 2001 Beta Rev3 270 for 2200 What a cool bike. If anyone can point me in the direction of newbie techniques/methods so I do not pick up any bad habits, I would appreciate it. Hello I am new here , my name is Joan , or John in English , though i have been watching you people posts from long time specially when i was living in China, now i decided to register myself as i am back in Spain, from there was impossible to get registered, you know and hear about the great " Fire" Wall. So i had a need for trials so strong in there that i considered doing a trials bike from an street 125 cc 4 stroke quite common there, following the old trials phenomena and your posts in the classic trial forum, i learned a lot of stuff from your posts, but i consider it a little difficult for me, so i start considering the easier option of buying and old trials bik…

A little introduction.... Back in the 70s I rode timed enduro's and observed trials in the Midwest. I was good enough to have a Hodaka dealership sponsor. I did mostly riding very little wrenching, should have paid attention to the wrenching part. Got married moved to central AZ, off a bike for 32 years. Got the urge three years ago and purchased a XR400, great bike for my riding style. Mostly desert exploring in my backyard, 100 to 200 miles a day often alone. A few weeks ago I had an accident (non bike) and really messed up my shoulder and bicep tendons. Decided that I no longer bounce well and should perhaps not venture so far from assistance. So the Trials bug bit o…

Hi all.....Not only am I new to the forum, I'm new to trials too. I've been riding for a good few years and have always had sportsbikes, but I think my tastes are changing and I really fancy having a go at a more technical discipline, although I still have my trackbike for high speed rushes. I'm going through the process of trying to find the best bike within my budget (looking at Sherco 2.5 on advice from a mate) Based right on the south coast in Portsmouth Anyway........Hi
