Hi All, I am currently greenlaning a 250 4t enduro bike and am looking to do try something a little more challenging ( don't want to ride enduro's as enjoy the low speed stuff more) so am thinking of trying some trials riding. Ideally I would like to find a bike that could be used for both disciplines but this may be a big ask! I am quite tall 6' 1" and would like a nice light bike. Any ideas or thoughts. I have seen the Scorpa T ride / Sherco X ride, these look great, any thoughts on them or even the Ossa Explorer? Many thanks Kev

I am new to the trials scene, so I have some questions! What brand of bike would you guys recommend for a starter? I have road dirt bikes for most of my life( I am 36), so I am not new to riding. Most of my riding has been done in the woods. I don't have a trials dealer of any kind that is very close to me so that does not come into play. I am thinking that with the internet, and a parts manual, that parts availability should not be a issue. Another question is tire pressure. I notice that in the videos and pics that I have watched, and looked at, all the bikes are running really low air pressure. I understand the reason why, just don't know how low do they go. Th…

Just thought I'd jump in from the ladies forum to introduce myself - complete and absolute beginner, been trying out bikes for a few weeks to find the right one and now the very proud owner of a GG250. Just spent this evening riding round and round a field having fun. Joined a club and will be going to their practice day in a few weeks time. I've got lots to learn.

Hi all, new to the forum and trialing. Went to a local auto show last weekend and met our local trials club. My 14 year old boy was really taken and in the week since I've found a pair of old Betas at a really good price. Went to buy a 1990 TR35 Reverse and the guy I was buying it from had a 88 TR34 in the shed looking sorry for itself! So came away with both! Both run well but need tidying. Anyway going to the local club tomorrow and hopefully my boy will get hooked, I'm sure I will! Cheers Rich

Hi all, my name is Joe, from Cannock, Staffordshire. Just purchased an 06 rev 3. Got it fully stripped to address a few issues here and there but will be back together by the end of the week, fingers crossed. Looking for local advice on any winter trials practice or beginner events around the Midlands/Peaks/Dales. I am going to give Dave Lewis a bell about Penkridge, but thought I'd ask here in the meantime. Cheers !

Hi everybody, I'm not that new to trials as my son has been doing it for a couple of years now. I've always been into road bikes and have owned them since 16yrs old ( RD50M ). Floated in and out ever since , but currently have a fair selection of toys. Both runners and project. My son is 10yrs old and started messing around on the local farm with a pw50 at 5yrs old. He's moved through a ty80, a very brief spell on a ty80 whitehawk and currently does the white route at Earl Shilton on his GasGas Rookie. Now, i'm sure most of you will understand that I obviously had to get a bike to ride with him on practice days and that bike was a Suzuki 250 Beamish. Had It for th…

Hello Just bought my first trials bike today at the age of 45,the reason being it was a giveaway at the price i paid having hardly being used from new ,what is it you may ask?well it is a Montesa and after a bit of research on the net i think it is a 200 1982 model although the engine does look a tad on the large side for a 200. I had it running today and it appears to be in first class order so hopefully i may be able to join a local club and give it a go. Hopefully later on i will be able to post a few pics of it in the relevant section. Well off to trawl through all the information available on here now Tata for now Mark

Howdy Gang! I just read Judson's intro here, so it seems I'm not the only new rider along the Front Range. I live near Laramie, just across the state line from Fort Collins. I'm an absolute newbie to trials, and I have yet to attend an event. My introduction to trials was, lets say, rough. A wonderful couple, Will and Jen, from Woodland park brought a couple trials bikes to a weekend gathering of adventure riders in the forest near Buena Vista, Colorado. They welcomed us all to try out the trials bikes, and set up some simple obstacles for us to practice on. After gaining confidence riding over small logs and stumps, I decided I could tackle the "trojan rabbit", a man…

HI how strange another new member from colchester area. I have been riding bikes a long time and have had a couple of goes at trials in the past. I have a Bultaco 325 1976 recently restored, a 315 Montesa 2000, a BMW R1200S, (I love this machine), and a KTM EXC400 that I use for green laneing, I was a member of Castle Colchester, but now plan to join Braintree club as its more trials oriantated. I am a civil engineering consultant, this is a pain as it uses up to much time that could be better spent riding.

Hi guys. Been riding offroad bikes here in South Africa for a while, started getting into enduros very recently. I always wanted a Trials bike and decided to get one to hone my skills for my enduro riding. Bought myself a 2003 Beta Rev3. What a great machine. I might actually drop the enduro and compete in Trials one day. When I got the Beta, I did what i always did when i buy a secondhand bike and stripped it, checked everything out and re-assembled it. Nothing really to fix. Guess it's true that these bikes last very long. Took it for my first ride quickly (Did not kit up so i took it easy) at a small rocky hill behind where i stay just to get a feel for the bi…

Hi all, I've been hopping in and out of Trials Central for a while now and thought it was about time I introduced myself, now that I'm "on the pegs" again. The last time I rode a trials bike was about 33 years ago! (Been riding road bikes and the odd trail bike). I've bought myself a trials bike at long last after desiring one for years. I am lucky enough to live in the Scottish Highlands and am surrounded by rocks, trees and hills. As I walk about I can't help thinking..."there's a section", "I could ride that" etc, etc, Now I can...or at least try to! I have a Montesa 4RT. (I yearned for a Montesa Cota as a youth, but couldn't fund one, and am a four stroke …
