Hi all. Well finally got a trials bike - better late than never. ‘86 ty250 that’s a bit old and tatty (like it’s owner). Guess i’ll be here a fair bit ad i can’t find a useful workshop manual. Sorting the clutch is the first issue as it’s not good. Lever pulls but the bike barely rolls. I put in 5th a gently rocked it to free it up as it seemed stuck - it did the old leap forward when i put it in gear, clutch lever pulled in! Help always Appreciated. Thanks. Beardy.

Hello Everyone, I just recently returned to trials after having been involved in an on-and-off manner for the past 30+ years. Living in California, the environmental/air quality issues made purchasing a bike that I could ride all year long extremely difficult. I ended up buying an Electric Motion 5.7 and really love it. However, now there are now fewer places to ride and fewer trial riders at the events. Trials seems to be on a very steep decline and I would like to hear your opinions as to why that may be happening. I've seen the OSET company trying to get very young riders involved in trials, and I think that's great. But what do you think can be done to…

I spotted a forlorn TY250 out in the rain and just had to rescue it. Cost me a hundred bucks. It is part yellow 1974 and part blue 1977. Frame is 434-000xxx and engine is 493-20xxxx. It's 99% all there and would probably start and drive but I optioned to give it a quickie restoration first. Then do it up right if it bike runs and drives fine. The Good: Motor is free and has spark & compression, wheels are round, steel tank solid, seat/fenders/side/skidplate cover present, lighting kit present and presentable. Hello, I'm new to the sport of trials and have to say I'm loving it. So much so that my poor 2014 Husaberg TE300 is just sitting in the garage getting dusty. I bought a 2015 Sherco Factory Edition 300, what an amazing bike. I decided right away after bringing it home that I would make a video series to log my transition into the sport and see how or if any progression was made. I've been riding some very extreme terrain for years now but have developed allot of bad habits due to lazy riding practice compensated by speed, momentum and a pimped out bike. Hi there, New member here, I've just bought a project bike it is a Ossa Mick Andrews replica. I think it is a Mk 1, strangely it hasn't a side stand lug mount so I assume it never came with a side stand mount? It needs a bit of work but the bones are there, no spark so today is pulling the very stuck stator and hope it is just cut wires at the bottom, definate ly will be running the wires out of the front. Anybody here who knows about Ossa as I no nothing at all

Hi all, I've only been riding bikes about 2 months, started by sharing my friends Montesa Cota 315R(97) and have recently bought myself a Gas Gas JTX 270(97), so far have managed to get out for 1 days worth of riding which was really good and to be honest I do prefer my my bike as I'm 6'2" and the handle bars seem to be a little further away and unlike the Montesa I don't feel like I'm going to go over the handle bars everytime I brake hard. The biggest problem I'm having is trying to get good info on the type of oil I should use in the gearbox/transmission, someone where I went trials biking had the 250cc version of my bike and they said to use 10w 40 but on Gas Gas web…

40 something, lifelong mountain biker, bmxer and had big trail bikes in the past. Looking at getting into Trials in the North Lakes. Don't want to spend a fortune as I've two at home under 6 Suppose my question is, what size of bike should I be looking for? 6 feet and 13 stone. And is there much a club scene up here near Caldbeck? Hi there, my name is Joachim, 52 Y and from Germany. Trials was a dream when I was a kid, now it is still a dream as I am a beginner in any way. Sometimes I just can't resist buying a bike, thinking it will run eventually. Newest one is a bultaco about 1970, first bike my age 😉 After spending some time on it I realise I am pretty clueless as there is not so much information easy to find as it is a Lobito 175 MK3 (think so!) Cleand the AMAL, polished some of the alloy, looks great, just like new, but no spark! I don't even now if I can easyly take of the flywheel and put it back on again without messing the whole timming up by moving it a bit... I think there sho…
