I found this site a couple of weeks ago after i purchased my first trials bike. Having owned road bikes for a few years, i decided to see what this trials malarky was like and i have got to admit i am totally addicted. I have found this site very helpfull and has a wealth of information for a novice like me, so thanks and keep up the good work guys

Hi, only got into trials when my nephew bought a Gas Gas 250 last year.Always had bikes but had only ridden one trials bike,a Montesa i maintained for a friend. Last weekend i bought a Bultaco t350 Sherpa to rebuild and ride so expect plenty of questions on the Bultaco section!

Hello there ,my name is mike and i am from north Scotland. This is my second attempt at trials bikes, my first being a suzuki beamish rl 325 a number of years ago but never did much with it as i am more road bike orientated . I have recently bought myself a 2008 Beta rev-3 250 and i am having a fair bit of fun with it as one of my mates just bought a 2009 gas gas pro 300,so we are both finding the joys of trials bikes ,best fun i have had on two wheels in years,but boy is it hard work, aches and pains all over at first but getting there slowly ,Mike

Hello, Steve here, use to ride with Hillsborough MCC some time ago, have just bought my daughter a Oset 16, so will be visitng frequently and maybe have a bike for myself in the future.

Alryt guys, Just joined the forum, got my first trials bike last week. 2010 gasgas 250. Im not very clued up on motorized bikes, used to the pedal variety ha! Hopefully ill learn a few things from here Cheers!

Hello! I've just joined. My name is Paul 50 years old from Castleford West Yorks, I've not been trials riding for 10 years due to injury but now fit and well and looking forward to riding again, me and my wife have just moved back to Cas (where we were both brought up) from living in Selby for 28+ years. Can anyone help me with places to ride and any clubs I could join, I was a member at Ripon, Scunthorpe, Eboracum York over the years. Thanks Paul

Growing up with dirtbikes in Northern British Columbia, most of our riding was gravel road and trail riding... it didn't occur to us to go slow, and master technical riding. I am marshaling for a local Trials club and just acquired a used Sherco 250ST... I love it so far and I'm looking for technical trials training regimes... if anyone can point me to good sources? Hello; new member living in Ma. USA; 70 years old now and returning to riding; rode quite a bit of trials bikes in the 70s; including Bultaco, Ossa, Montesa, and 1976 Yamaha TY175; I’m restarting now on the same 1976 TY175; I think this will be the lightest and easiest handling for a guy my age; excited to start again and enjoy my ride of the old days! Hello everybody, I'm Marc, frenchi (sorry for my bad english), I play solo and sidecar trial. My next project is "triying to develop an efficient and simple side car trial based on my FANTIC 240 prof". Sure I know that 212cc engine will be short to push all together (the motobike, my monkey and me) at the top of high section hills, and I can sacrifying the monkey of course..., but I know that some of you find some other ways to improve their Fantic 240... If you are ok to guide me for my project... Many thanks! Marc

Hey everybody just dropping by to say hello as I am new to the forum. Just dug out my TY80 from over 10 years of storage and know nothing on what I should do to get it going again so that's why I came here! Hope to learn a lot and share my trials experience.

After reading the forum for a while I thought it was time to say hello. Wrong side of 40. Self employed Motorcycle instructor for last 10 years. Enjoyed trials since my father had James mc many years ago. Currently enoying watching local trials while mates compete. Trying to workout if I would be any better now than when I last owned a TY250 pinky a while back.

Hi All Just found this web site and hopefully will be a helping for me. Lost in cental France and enjoying the country life. Hopefully on Monday morn im off to the south of France to pick up a 1970 Montesa cota 242 . So will be in need of input of the rights and wrongs with my new toy. Currently have an old Enfield ..see profile pic, needs too much doing to it for the lanes around here, gearing too high and wheels too big ..list goes on. My other bikes are Triumph chops and a Triumph Drag/sprint bike. so my first little two stroke !!! Will post info soon cheers Steve

hi guys, im frank, im brand new to trials, more used to riding & building / modifying Harley's! i have a Beta 200 & i am looking for a bike for my 8 year old, i have decided on an OSET to begin with..., but, he has never ridden before, he is a small 8 years old and i really dont know if i should get a 16 or a 20??? the 16's are cheaper second hand & i can resel in a year if he likes it for something bigger, but will it be too small, i am struggling to 'measure' him upfor a bike, due to the nature & shape of the bikes! any help much appreciated & i look forward to a bit of banter and learning a bit from here. Hello all. I'm another old fart that's new to trials, though I've been riding for over 40 years. About two years ago I got interested in learning trials riding and as I've always had Bullys decided to buy a M199 that was being sold by a lovely bloke from Queensland. Selling the bike was obviously pretty tough for him; before he would sell to me I had to prove to him that I knew Buls and would appreciate it and look after it. Anyhow, I bought it and set about laying out some practice sections at the nearby forest where me, my son and grandson all ride. What an eye opener!
