Hi there. My name is Marc and here is a quick story about me. For the past 11 years now I've been into kart racing. Throughout this year I've been getting quite fed up of going to the same track over and over again... I felt I needed to do something different. I thought about going to other tracks but that would cost a bit since other tracks are further away. So after my last race I've decided to calm down a bit by selling most of my karts and just keep one for fun. I didn't want to give up motorsport completely. I was thinking of trying supermoto or maybe motocross if I could pick up a bike cheap enough. But sadly they are to far out my price range for something decent. …

Hi, I've just bought myself a GAS GAS and I'm looking for places to ride in the Berkshire area. Can anyone help? At the moment I'm using MX tracks - but you can imaging how that is..... If anyone is in the area, and can help, I'd really appreciate it. I live in Windsor, but I've got a trailer and can travel. Many thanks Steve

  3. Hi all! I am debating on whether I will start riding trials or not, but I do have a 1974 KT250 that I'm wanting to get back into tip-top riding condition, whether I compete or not. This thing has been family owned since new. My great-uncle bought it in 1974 and sold it to my grandfather (his brother) in 1999, who brought it back to life for me. I am not a mechanic, but I'm excited to start on this fairly simple motor. My goal is to have this in excellent riding condition. Right now I've got to clean the carb and gas tank. Oh, and change the oils. That should get it running, but then the fun starts. I will probably rebuild the top end (not sure if its ever…

  4. Started by mustafa,

Hi to all, I am Mustafa from Istanbul Turkey. Literally there is no trials riding here so I had to look abroad. I've been riding different types of bikes for ten years. Last bike was a motocross (before stolen) but I actually didn't like the idea of speeding in dirt or forest. While motocrossing, I was more into observing the terrain or going slow through stuff. So after the theft of my bike I asked myself why not a trials bike this time. I never had the chance to try one, and there are only two bikes on the sales list (yes entire country) which are not even in my city. So in these circumstances I have three choices; 1-gas gas txt pro250 (cylinder head changed to 300 with…

  9. Hi all, I've just joined the group as i am seriously thinking of getting into Trials. I ride a lot of motocross mainly practice days but a bit of racing sometimes. I really fancy a change and have wanted to do trials for some time. Anyone on here from Berkhamsted? Which is where i am based. I know there a local track near me which would be handy to ride to. Also my mother has a large place in Devon which would be ideal for take a bike to, plus all the Greenlanes around there. Question, are practice like MX tracks, you just turn up, pay your money and ride? Or do you have to have someone you know with you when you go to a practice event? Many thanks …

Andy, (I appreciate this might not be the best place to post this) Just a thought, as TC features grow, is there a user guide or a place where we can post the stupid questions, "How do I ....." How to post pictures/links to pictures/Videos How to use the search engine Not missing any posts ("view new posts", "mark all posts as read" etc.) Setup a Blog, track a blog etc. Etc. I keep trying to do a search, say of all posts in the last week, but I'm incompetant and can't get the results I want.

I'm hoping someone local can recommend some practice areas I can learn (embarrass myself) and maybe teach me the basics to get me started. Also will be on the look out for a cheap starter bike in a month or two hopfully if anyone is thinking of selling soon.

Hi - after riding and organising enduro's for more years than I care to admit, I've decided to give the trials game a go. I'm interested in a Scorpa SY250-F but am struggling to find much info and one for sale. If anyone has any advice or info I'd be most grateful. All the best, David

I bought a 1993 Beta Synt 260 off my friend just before this winter. After a good cleaning. I was learning off Brian (district 6 A champ) and Gale "Turtle" Petro (District 6 B Champion) before his sudden departure a few weeks ago. Here is the video from the Trials ride I went on with Brian and Gale, a lot of it was capturing them play riding on the helmet cam. Conditions, wet slippery leaves, over mud, over frozen ground. http://newoodsriders.com/videos/dirtrider/1sttrials.wmv I have been trail riding dirt bikes since I was 13 (now 45) I was introduced to Single track a few years ago and became addicted to it. Some of our sections are slow boulder climbing fi…

I found out yesterday that the Olympia park in Bickenhill had changed to a Motocross only this was done about 17 years ago. I use to ride my motocross bike back in 1988-1992 on the ruff ground next door to the above park, they wouldn't let on the Olympia park with my bike :-( Now in 2008 I have a trials bike and I still can't ride it at this park :-( can you believe it! Please help... where can I practice locally around Tamworth? fingers crossed Paul.

Helloo, I've just bough a Gasgas 125 (2024) off ebay and I cant get the thing to start. During purchase it wouldn't start either but im confident that, in a few months, with your help, it'll fire up!! Here is what I know: bike looks good, its got a carburettor and a spark plug. compression seems fine. There is fuel in the tank. It's been left for a while unused. Ill try to add some pics - Please could any one give me some simple tips. Somewhere to start in terms of getting this thing started. So far I have mainly tried: full choke. half/full throttle, kicking the hell oot of it till I'm knackered.

Hi everyone. I'm Andy. Last time I rode in trials was about 1995, I had an Aprilia Climber - what a reliability nightmare that thing was. Parts were hard to get, and expensive. I've had a break for the last ten years (Although I've wandered along to watch the odd trial near home, and have done quite a bit of trail riding on a Suzuki DRZ400) but I want to get back into trials again! I don't want to spend mega bucks on a bike at first, in case I end up not using it much, so have a budget of around
