  2. My txt 250 has the same problem, alough mine's a 2000/01. I couldn;t figure out for the life of me why the clutch would not bleed. I was getting beyond annoyed. I happend to look down at the master cyclinder one day why pulling on the clutch lever and noticed clutch fluid squiting out it. On closer examination it appears that the chain has jumped forward off the front sprocket and whacked it one, which has resulted in a hair line crack. At
  3. I've just bought one and done a hell of a lot of work on it. But I knew what I was getting myself into, and for the price I payed! So far I've polished the frame and all alluminium and chrome parts, done the kickstart pawl gear which involves stripping the clutch and removel of the clutch basket, rebuilt top end, front wheel bearings, sorted out the plastics, new bars leavers ect... Just listen to it running and listen out for any knocking or slapping noises, check the fork seals, get it on a stand with the back wheel off the ground and check the swingarm bearings for play, give it a ride through the gears just give it a good checking over. Out of curiosity how much you getting it for? All The Best

    What Oil?

Hello all, Was in the carshop today and got told that (can't rember the name) but it was automatic transmission oil. Dad recons this will be to thin and do damage to the engine, but the guy in the shop use's this in his GasGas and says its giving him better gear changes. So what oil should I be using for the gearbox/enging in my 2001 GasGas txt 250? Also if anyone knows my 98 kx 250? Thanks very much All The Best

  9. Hello all, new to the Forum and to the Trials sence! I have been strictly mx up untill now... Well a lad I know is selling a GasGas txt pro 250 2001 model. Been to see the bike. It's in a bit of a tatty state but nothing a bit of time and TLC won't sort . Anyways my main worry is this "pawn gear". The kick start has nothing to it (if you get me?) you can put it right down without it turning the engine. If you continue to do this you can feel where it cathes on a tooth and then suddenly goes as it came. Now my quistion is (once I bump start it to hear it running) is it worth buying? He wants
