  1. Thanks so much for the info. I will wait and see if one pops up on ebay. I may try and get creative and have someone weld it up somehow. For now I just covered the hole to keep the oil in and the dirt out. SSPX7618 by alperpa2001, on Flickr
  2. Greetings- I have a 1975 TY175. I am trying to sort out some problems, and the big one is the left crankcase is damaged where the clutch adjustment hole is. The whole area is gone, must have had a chain derail I'm guessing. I have not had any luck finding a crankcase half for the TY, but find lots of DT175 ones on ebay. They look similar and I'm wondering if they interchange. The bike is rideable but the clutch shaft goes up and down when the clutch is pulled and the adjustment goes back and forth. Any ideas or info greatly appreciated.
  3. Thanks for the info- I'll just add a longer hose and run it up under the tank.
  4. Hello all- I am new here and have a question. On the fill plug for the clutch cover there is a hose that runs up towards the top of the head. Mine likes to spew oil out of that hose and makes a mess. Has anyone else encountered this? My manual says 300cc of oil in the clutch side (maybe that's too much?). The only other thing I can think of is maybe the crank seal is letting pressure from the crankcase in. The bike runs beautiful and always starts easy. I was thinking of adding some sort of foam breather to the top of the hose. Any help would be appreciated. Also another quick question- is the model 199A supposed to have an aluminum skidplate? Mine has a steel one.
  5. I had the same problem with a Bing- check that the float actually floats. Mine was taking on gas making it too heavy.
