  1. I was going to put up a few photos of the rebuild of my 06 Sherco 125 the other week but never got round to it.

For any T+MX news readers it's on page 13 this week :)

I'll try and scan a copy in.

Cheers to those who answered the questions I was posting up when it was spread across the garage floor in bits!

  2. I put them in to a friend's bike shop to have the seals done.

They have tried to rub them down and clean them up but don't think the new seals will last too long with the stanchions as they are.

I've had a quick google and regrinding and replating seems quite a common occurrence. Would be nice to have a reccomendation of who to use.

  3. Repacking Has been done using methods mentioned by folks that like to experiment, however a new one is perferred.

One may soak it on petrol and flush it out good and use a wire brush to help. This is ok if the packing is still ok. Air dry it after!

I might try and flush it through, but I think it will end up with a new one.

    Thanks for the help.

  4. Has anyone had much success trying this?

I was thinking it either needs the welds ground back and split open or a hole cut in the side.

Neither job looks that easy to do neatly.

I have a friend who is an alloy welder so not to worried about having it put back together, just getting it to that stage i'm not sure about.

Trying to decide if the the hassle outweighs the cost of a new one.

    Cheers Al

  5. Hi guys, I'm rebuilding my 2006 Sherco 125 and the rear shock is scrap.

I've looked at the Ohlins and the Jitsie both a lot of money compared to what the bike is worth.

I saw a replacement Olle shock on a French site for 290 euros, is there a uk supplier for these?

    Cheers Alan
