Thanks for the help. @lineaway.. We have lots of trees but I wanted something that can be moved around and hidden from the neighborhood association when I'm not riding. I have a few logs, but they aren't very mobile. Mind you i live on a normal lot so not a lot of room.

Question for the Americans. I'm looking to get a few of the big wooden wire/cable spools for training. I'd like to just use the hub, cut in half as little obstacles. Does anyone know where to source these? Construction companies, city works, utility companies? I've checked Craigslist for freebies but no luck. Any tips greatly appreciated. Thanks! Ryan

Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way to tell if my rear shocks are rebuildable. I don't know much about them. I have an m49 model ending in 00976. Assuming they're stock. I'd like to not have to invest in a new set for cost purposes. But I may have to. It's it hard to rebuild these? Thanks

Yea the reason why I got the steel plates is because the old friction material was falling off.

So I'm assuming the original clutch was missing some of the plates. Thanks for the input!

Another dumb question here. I tried to search these forums but couldn't find an answer. My manual didn't help either. I bought some steel clutch discs and I'm wondering what order these go in. The previous discs were the traditional type with friction material. The steel ones I bought came with six steel discs and one plate with the notches in the middle. My previous set had three such plates with notches and five discs with friction material. So, what order do these go in? Does there need to be a steel plate between each of the clutch discs? Would anyone know of a fix for this brake pedal? Seems the previous owner chopped it up. Should I weld something on or look for a replacement? Not many websites carry this type. Thanks.

I just opened up my brakes after 30 years in the dark. Hard to get them out, but once out I just took a wire wheel to them. Hopefully they'll work ok. Yours look much better. Good work!

Ok dumb question here. There are two fuel lines that run from the gas tank on an m49. Do I need a tee to connect them or how are these fuel lines run? My manual doesn't show much on this. The bike wasn't all together when I got it. Thanks!

Thanks for the input. The bike started at $2000. This guy doesn't know much about trials bikes. I'm going to wait and see if he gets more desperate. The problem is that he's a good 5 hours from me, so it's not easy if cheap just to go check it out.

Hi all, I have an m49 that I'm starting to restore. Wanted to get your feedback. It needs all paint redone. Since all sherpa t's look similar, I was thinking of doing a flat black look. Black fiberglass, bars, rims, frame. All other metal and aluminum would be polished. My fear is that it will look like a metal mulisha reject bike and I'm not into the fmx crap. Any thoughts? Trying to be different and also not have to do three color paint job.

Hi, I'm rebuilding a '70 Sherpa T and was wondering if anyone has experience with gas tank restoration. The bike ran fine until it sat in a barn for the last few decades. I'm wondering the best way to clean it out and if sealing the inside is recommended. I have zero experience with fiberglass tanks. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ryan California USA
