I am looking to get into trials so because I will be a beginner I doubt if any decent bike would be holding me back for a while. I'm just trying to decide if I should buy and Econo and convert the rear to tubless or get a used or left over pro model.
Not sure you can say its an upgrade, as its a 2010 motor in a 2008 frame. Steel front pipe and none of the nicer bits, however probably a realistic way to get a new bike on a budget.
I meant is it worth the extra money to upgrade to the TXT and if you have ridden the Econo model how much of a difference was it to not have the nicer bits?
Has anyone ridden the Ecoco model? If so how does it compare to the txt pros and other models? Is it worth the extra money to upgrade to the pro or race models?
Northeast OK. My family has land in CO that borders the San Isabel forest that is ideal for trials and trail riding as well so I plan to spend a lot of time there in the summer.
I grew up in Colorado, raced motocross and rode in the prairie as a kid. I had a tl125 Honda and rode it in the mountains a little but since moving to Oklahoma I have not done much riding for a long time. My son is 14years old and I bought a 2003 GAS GAS EC 200 DE and I'm setting it up for him to learn on while I look for another enduro and a trials bike. Bikes are so much better now than in the 80s when I stopped riding I'm like a kid at Christmas waiting to get a bike. I intend to practice trials nearby to sharpen my skills and trial ride the other bike with my son.
