try the spring extenders a part available from beta, this will help.
the weight taken off will stop over run a litlle reducing the need for you to use the clutch so much.
try it you may like it. Beware screws are soft and need the EXACT PHILLIPS DRIVER.
Thanks Guys, looks like i need to do clutch mod first then maybe slow action throttle but i love the way the power is delivered now its just that slow clutch throttle combination i need to work on i think.
Any help please, I have an Evo 290 2009 and has a weight fitted to the mag which was on when i purchased the bike. I love the bike but when riding slow tight stuff i find it snatchy and easy to push the front wheel away. Gearing is 10/41 so previous owner dropped front by 1 already. How can i smooth it out when on the slow tight stuff? drop to a 9 front?? could i ride off the clutch more then? slow action throttle i dont think would help?and i love the power anyway. Would the clutch mod help and maybe remove a couple of springs? Please help before i move over to the dark side (gasgas)
I have found the 2011 fenders are terrible, The quality of the plastic is rubbish. I snapped mine in half completly. The Black TTT fenders are a lot better or the 2010 standard fenders are pretty good as well.
Thanks , mine was a 2010 fender although the bike was 2009. The break was low down towards the airfilter area and it was a real clean break with no plastic distortion at all. Bit crap really considering the nature of the bike.
Just snapped my first rear fender ! grrrrr how much! Anyway i have been offered a 2011 fender a little cheaper than 2009 fender, is there a differance? will all years fit?
Thanks Jon, i will check this out later and see if it matches, the photo i was after was an under the tank picture of how the coil and wiring sits. Mine seems a mess and was obstructing the tank slightly so needed re dressing.
Just removed one of the pins to resolder as badly corroded, unfortunatly all the wire came out the plug and i dont know which they go back in? they are numbered on the back of the plug. I have a black, grey, thick yellow and thin yellow.

many thanks kay
Anyone help with this, struggling to get the coil and wiring back in place, tank sits proud all the time.If it sits on its side does the h.t wire exit at the bottom and wiring harness exit at the top?

The problem with the hot starting with Ducati ign on the GG is the ign sensor sir gap has to be set really close, 8 thou is fine. (Distance between the sensor and the flywheel.
Ring GasGas Uk and option 4 this will give you Tech advise from the horses mouth so to speak. I had issues with my bike and now it runs 100% after following Mr Hipwell`s advice.
Hi all, removed the ducati coil and regulator off my 300 to check wiring to see if anything could aid / resolve the hot starting issues. I have come to refit the coil/ht but cant make my mind up which way round it went when i put the tank on it does not sit flat so something is not right. does it sit with the ht outlet pointing directly up or on its side?
There is nothing wrong with my bike im just trying to find out what other peoples opinions are of my readings as i cant find any doctuments any were what tell me what it should be reading.... and as i dont get chance to test other peoples bikes i was hoping any one out there may be able to copare my readings to there's, just in case it is low and need new rings!!!
Thanks
Hiya, sorry no technical data for you but that sounds just fine, same as mine bags of compression when starting so must be good!
sorry to hear your problems it sounds like when re built bits were left in a tin or similar vessel, check out your video again any parts can be replaced but its all extra money, it seems to had a hard life all the best Des.
Yes, when i viewed the bike the condition looked good. wheels and suspension really clean, no wear in linkages or bearings so thought it was a good bike but the engine now showing some issues
Thanks for the help so far but feel i have bought a pig! I noticed on first ride that the clutch was pulling really bad, probably worse than people had advised and i felt it needed attention. On inspection it looked like oil had been in the water, checked pump and shaft is worn so i need a repair kit. On gasgas waterpump video it shows a small washer between the inpellor and brass screw, mine does not have one! should there be one on my model?
Next i removed the clutch cover to find it had been cracked and metal filled! on inspection i think idler gear has been changed but cracked case refitted, so need a new case too. On to the clutch to see if i can figure out why it is poor, again on gasgas video it shows a bearing and washer on the top hat, mine does not have these? are they missing? Finally the plastic kickstart stop looks worn can this be replaced easily.
Snatchy on the clutch
