  1. i was thinking about using a counter sunk drill bit and doing the same as you using the original counter sunk bolts but i don't want to weaken the holes i have found some  domed bolts that are shallow and high tensil i know there's not much space between the sprocket and S/Arm i will test the bolts before making a decision.

  2. hello as any 1 had problems with the rear sprocket bolts? i just got a new s3 sprocket and the bolts stick out to much there is a shallow recess not counter sunk any ideas what bolts i can use? i do have domed bolts but not sure if they will catch the S/Arm

  3. Hello chappo that's a good find just debating what to do with a 340 ive had for about 8 years been in the loft in bits the Engine is together with New bearings ect frame just been painted. some New part tank ect not sure what to do with it at the moment as am into the modern stuff:thumbup:

  4. your better off just striping it there easy to work on done loads over the years the gear drum has what i describe has a flower where the plunger goes neutral is the bigger groove on the flower. make sure all gears are working before putting the other half off the crank case on and there's a small spacer that a lot lose that goes on the end off the kick start shaft.

  5. they look horrible if not done proper i have seen some nice 199As with the loop removed but i don't see the point n ruing a frame if its not done by some 1 who knows what there doing just my view. i do miss my 199A but i still have the 340 in bits when i can be bothered to rebuild it.:D
