  1. My chain came off today and started to coil around the front sprocket snapping the little alloy crank case breather off I have the right angled bit, but the part that pushes into the crank case has fell inside the crank case. Any ideas how to get it out other than pray it comes out with dropping the oil. Can I take this side of the crank case off or do I have to start with the clutch side and work my way back.

    Many thanks

  2. Thought I would add a few photos of the centre exhaust of my 05 txt pro. The original baffle had broke down and had been removed so the bike sounded horrid. So I managed to get some off cuts of stainless steel exhaust baffle from a local car exhaust shop for 10 pounds and a bag of silent sport for 5 quid and many hours in my garage. Bike sounds like new again here are some pics

  3. I have taken my centre section off the bike to cut the back out and repack. Only to find nothing inside the can other than to bits of bent aluminium baffle about 2 by 5 inch. No sanding or packing at all. Is it possible to make a new baffle out of chicken wire or something similar so I can repack around it. If so any idea on sizes or shape of what I'm to make.

    Many thanks mark

  4. Hi all,

I have just brought a 05 gasser and on first ride discovered the clutch was slipping. I have stripped the plates out but there is quite a lot of metal fillings in the oil (plates are scored and some friction pads damaged) so wanted to take the basket out just to check it's all ok and clean. I have removed the centre bolt but can not remove the basket do I need a special tool to do this.

Also what is the best oil to refill and how much do I use (ml)

Do I need to worry about the height of the kit I buy as I have read some info on different heights on weather it's a light or heavy clutch ????

    Many thanks mark
