I'm going to replace my original 315r clutch plates with Apico steel and fibre plates at weekend, just wanted to know should I soak the plates in elf oil before installation or will I just rub some oil around them before I put them in? Also what torque should I tighten the casing up too when I'm done. Thanks for all the help.

Hi I have a 98 315r and am thinking of changing the clutch plates due to the drag and snap of the clutch. Can someone give me some advise on which plates to use, I have read that mitani are best but also the plates from a cr250 are v good also. Theres quite a selection out there and I dont want to get the wrong ones. Also while I have the casing off is there anything else I should replace, seals, bearings, springs, ect. Thanks tom

Good Morning all. Im going to look at a 250 Gas Gas 1996 later for a friend, I know a little bit about bikes and my friend knows nothing so hes asked me to come with. Are there any warning signs I should look for before purchase?. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tom

Hi, I have just recently bought a Montesa Cota 315 1998 to kill some time at weekends.I'm new to the sport and am looking for some advice from more experienced riders.I work in maintenance and know that preventative maintenance keeps the machine running well for longer and was wondering what preventative maintenance should I carry out on my bike? and what should I look out for?.Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tom
